This is my first time doing this and I could not follow the tutorials shared online. Can any one help?
How to upload an extension in a phpbb forum?

- Download the extension.
- Copy the contents of the downloaded archive folder to /public_html/ext/.
- If you have done it correctly, you will have the extension's composer.json file in ?public_html/ext/boardtools/upload/composer.json.
- Then go to admin control panel and go to Customise -> Extension Management -> Manage extensions -> Upload Extensions.
- Click Enable.

First of all thanks a lot for detailed reply.
I did till step 2 . But it does not show in extensions. Step 3 also I am not able to checkmate there is no folder named board tools inside ext.

The phpbb version I have is 3.3.11 and the sitemap extension works till 3. 2.11. Is this the reason why it is not working?

Yes I am able to upload. But it is now showing on manage extensions even after this.
There is so much to learn for me.

Yes I am trying this one only. As you can see in description phpbb version 3.3.11 not mentioned on his page.

I was used phpbb in the year 2017 so, I do not have recent knowledge of phpbb
Solution is, if your site is new then downgrade your phpbb version with compatible sitemap extension or try different sitemap available on github, phpbb forum, also google. Or build manually xml sitemap
