Well, I've reached this point in my life where I feel a little behind in life, where many of my friends have already started studying and I have to deal with my mom's hatred for thinking that what I do doesn't make sense.

I mean, I don't hate university nor do I think that those who go to it are stupid, the issue is that there is no career that I like enough to really want to go to, plus I have a very bad relationship with the educational system.

Anyway, I guess it will be a matter of time and perseverance, but even so, this path feels a little nihilistic and in fact very lonely, because I already told several people who asked me what I was going to do with my life (the typical shitty question). what they do to you once you finish high school) and I have responded with something like this, and many of them think I'm crazy or something like that

Anyway, luckily my dad understands me and knows that almost no one knows what to do with their life once they leave high school, on that side I feel good, apart from the fact that I continue doing what I published in my Journey

It will all be a matter of time, but in the meantime I just have to continue.

My biggest dream right now is that in the future (I hope not TOO distant) money will not be a problem in my life, because it has been that way for the last 18 years.

Mate, you are young, enjoy life.
Try to find something you are passionate about.
Focus on what skills you need to progress.

I try to enjoy it and I even accept certain outings from my friends, but I try to balance work more than enjoyment, because if I enjoy it a lot then I will have to suffer more.
I don't believe much in monk mode, if you spent a whole week working focused you can allow yourself to leave once it won't hurt you
Anyway, I wouldn't want parties to be a habit in my life.
Now I am learning ccs and soon javascript, but I am still very obsessed with making money because I always felt judged and less valued for not having it, it may seem silly but having it would fix my life in several aspects

First, focus on getting yourself set up for work life in case you don't make it in IM for a while. Be it uni or some decent/good paying blue collar job, there are options if you look around. Uni could be good for future IM projects, computer science perhaps? Study some skill that you can sell as a service while you're at uni? Don't just pick anything, you should have some interest in the subject.

As others said, you're still young. You're supposed to have fun before you grow up and have to deal with all the stupid shit life throws at you. Best of luck whatever you decide to do!

Talk to your dad more, he seems to know what life is about. Find out what you like and do that, just make sure you can afford it by getting some income during the time you are figuring out what you want out of work and life. No need to hurry, you will get there.

I'll probably end up getting a job, I think that's going to be much more beneficial for now than studying, although it doesn't mean that I'm not studying anything, I'm learning programming, so I guess I'm not wasting anything

Yes, it's true, I'm still young and I make a lot of mistakes, but sometimes reality hits me very hard with my poverty and so on and I realize that I can't enjoy my adolescence without money, that's why I try to get it as soon as possible to not end up wasting all my adolescence

Yes, let's say that my dad is like me who doesn't like to work for anyone and does work for himself, the only problem is that he lives far from me and I can only talk to him on WhatsApp, but I will try to have more serious conversations with him.

I'm still not sure what I really like, the only thing I know is that I don't want to work 9-5 for my entire life, since my life is depressive I don't want to imagine working like that, I guess I'll have to do a lot of journaling until I discover what I like, but in the meantime I will continue programming to have some good income

Thank you very much for your final message, it relieves me a lot

Good to hear. Study programming in your free time and try to find a job until you know what to do.

Man, I come from a fucked up family in the middle of nowhere in Sweden. Didn't complete college (or the equivalent) until I was 24. My first job was in telemarketing in Spain when I was 26. All those years in-between I was a complete degenerate. Now I live in the capital, have just over average salary as a blue collar worker. Plus a bunch of websites making me some extra every month. I'm 34 and still struggling. Don't stress too much about life, but don't be like me when I was your age either. You'll find your way, I'm sure.

People's dream is a corporate career. They'll find approval among likes. The key to it is a degree, usually a shitty one.

I prefer black hat. I earn from commission which are only paid if I work, not when I show a nice degree.

Opinions of other people don't matter.

They are not based on facts but guesses.

I don't want someone's guess to rule my life.

It's a big mistake to follow someone's opinion.

You can wreck your life. It almost landed me in prison for a year. Luckily judge was nice. I had a lawyer too.

If you suffer from mental health issues, consult doctors. There are hundreds of thoughts that you ignore which you should take care of. Plus there are sleep pills, stimulants, ssris and more.

It's better to consult a professional who will focus and find a problem, rather than ask random people who know nothing about you and mental health.

Shit, I see you went through a lot, but you're still pretty good now.

It motivates me a lot to hear your story, thank you for your message, I will try to find my passion in this

Yes, many consider that going to university is the norm but I believe that you can be successful without having to go, I agree with you on that.

And about the half-baked opinions, I think you are referring to the fact that those who tell me that I should study, which is true, but I always believed that if you wanted to be like someone you had to follow that someone's advice, and that's what I try to do with people I admire

I am surprised that you were able to save yourself from going to prison, it is a miracle to say the least.

Yes, I always thought about having a personal therapist but at least here in my country it is quite expensive, therefore this is the only thing I can resort to
