Cheap SSL certificate?

Don't use free ssl. I have used it for several websites but the performance is worse. I got some trouble in server as they require some file installed in the server.

I would least recommend you to use cloudflare. I am currently using it.

I had sometimes strange things happened this year, when I want visit a website I got the warning;

" Your Connection to this site is not secure, site has no https"

Strange but my own Website who has a positive ssl- no warnings here- but fast loading from namecheap ssl.

I wonder often these free / let's encrypt ssl certs often have lots of redirects loading up when you check the site with speed tools.

Can not explain this, it looks like it is better to have a premium ssl .

But when you later use a cdn, you musst use the free ssl from that cdn, which will override your premium ssl (steal your property...)

Now no Joke, try to visit godaddy.de page whammm!
Chrome shows; website Not secure, musst refresh the page ..what the hell ist that?

In my chrome I not have the extended security, have checked the standard security, but getting such not secure warnings ..on my 2012 mac with catalina.

now it happenmed again; these two sites I got a "not secure warning site has no https"
both sites have premium ssl one with sectico the other with starfield ssl.

I must refresh the page multiple times to see the website. What the hell is this ?

I have one domain with namecheap hosting and their positive ssl-, last year I not got one "Site Not secure" warning.

So I think it's s better to have an paid ssl, the positive ssl- dv cert you can buy for cheap price.

But when you later want have a cdn,then use one who supports custom ssl, so you can keep your paid ssl

Does anybody know where I can get a cheap SSL certificate which is good?
I've been looking but I am not an expert here so I can't decide.

It's for a blog. The domain is with Godaddy and the hosting with Cloudways (digital ocean).

I have a sectigo positive ssl costs $12 a year.
When you click in google on the ssl icon it shows connection is secure- click on it- then it shows Sectigo SSL as authority and not Let's Encrypt.

But in my cpanel I have the sectigo ssl for my domain only, all other hostnames like webmail.domain, disk.domain etc,etc...( the default hosting settings) have the let's encrypt ssl, but it shows in my cpanel under SSL Status as "errors" I wonder......but I have no problem to login to my cpanel via webhosting client area login.

Hosters or cpanel creators not like it when you have own ssl for your domain or what ?

The elite or "gurus" telling you dedicated ip as all a myth, absolute no benefits and the same with paid ssl.
What they not telling you is this;

IBM one of the big Let's Encrypt ssl sponsors- check their website they not use the free let's encrypt ssl themself- so why?

A website in the serps who has unique paid ssl and unique dedicated ip ,not masked behind cdn like Cloudflare, they are in googles eyes unique they own online property.

All the others who use the same free ssl, have their shared webhost ip (shared with hundreds of other domains) masked behind a cdn, they are not unique, they not have online property, it's like;

like living in an anonymous high-rise building with many floors.
With unique ip and paid ssl this is your own house-your property, you are the landlord.
And we know today google favors "uniqueness" .....

All have same free ssl, same masked webhost ip behind cloudflare, have nearly same AI content, how do you sting out of the crowd ?

My theory is after I observed some big media sites, when "they" all use paid ssl, dedicated ip, so there must be a reason for this- so I do the same....

Agreed, EV used to be a thing as a way to validate the authencity of the domain / company, but then letsencrypte and other free provider came in and it's not the same since...

Actually cloudflare provides a good free SSL, and also if you using cPanel, they do have a free SSL certificate too, for premium level SSL certificates GeoTrust and digicert both are very good.
