Recently one of my colleagues released a website, and, as it is visible on a screenshot, at the beginning it all went really great. However, at the certain point the growth stopped and then started to go down. All at the beginning ahrefs shown 1k+ organic keywords, but now the value is above 500.
Linkbuilding is stably great, high-quality guest posts and backlinks are being bought regularly. They are also constantly filling up website with new content, so it should be great.
Apart from unique content, the website has around 6k of parsed from another pages, rewritten with paid ChatGPT via API

So it all started well, but now values are going down
Is it normal? Any ideas on what can be a reason of this and how to fix that?

Those who can offer a working solution, we can consider ordering a paid consultation via DM if you can help

Typical initial ranking and re-ranking for new site.

You will need more time to grow conclusions.

Keep doing your thing for another month. It’s possible it will jump back.

If it does not improve, it’s possible content is not up to par.

How are the currently ranking pages & competitors in terms of age, authority, site structure, content & core web vitals?

Most likely my assumption is it's your content & site structure where you're behind your competitors.
My assumption is based on the fact that it's rewritten content via AI, API.
Which means it maybe:
lacking optimization, having content gap, missing ideal structure etc.

If you're ok with sharing your website in PM I can have a look.

Check if the AI-generated content is truly user-focused, Google's catching on to AI stuff. Diversify your backlink strategy, too much 'bought' activity might flag algorithms. Also, keep an eye on algorithm updates and double-check your technical SEO. Could be an issue of keyword cannibalization or user experience faults too.

Which tools can you recommend for checking a website for AI content, plagiarism, etc?

The drop in your website performance could be due to changes in how search engines work or issues with the quality of your content, or problems with using content from other sources.
I would suggest you to try checking and improving the content, making sure it's original and valuable, and consider if there have been any changes in how search engines rank websites

The decline in your website's performance may be attributed to algorithm changes, potential issues with backlink quality, reliance on duplicated content, technical glitches, or a diminished user experience.

To remedy this, conduct an SEO audit, reassess the quality of backlinks, prioritize original and valuable content, optimize for mobile devices, and monitor algorithm updates. Seek professional SEO guidance if issues persist, ensuring your website aligns with search engine criteria and provides an optimal user experience.
