If i set up a new website and use PPC to drive traffic, will these traffic count towards my clicks count (& CTR).

I used to read somewhere that PPC traffic is separated from organic traffic and do not count towards your SEO.
But i saw a SEO expert youtuber today saying differently - he used PPC to get his website out of sandbox faster.

Which one is correct?

I once had 90% social traffic but that didn't help in getting any organic traffic.

PPC traffic and clicks typically don't directly impact organic search metrics like clicks and CTR. They are separate channels. However, some argue that PPC can indirectly benefit SEO by increasing overall site visibility and speeding up the site's emergence from the "sandbox." The relationship between PPC and SEO metrics varies based on strategies and perspectives.

If you are trying to count clicks and CTR in Google search console then it will not get counted.
It is not recommended to run PPC campaign with a goal to increase your organic presence. Instead you should always aim for brand awareness or getting leads or sales or getting any kind of conversion.

It's true that your paid traffic has no direct influence on the organic results, but in a broad view, you should not ignore that any impression of your brand with organic or paid or social or referral channel can spread awareness about your brand and about your products so it can give benefit in someway. A user who see your advertisement can later search for your brand or product in Google, and a customer you got through PPC can other time come from organic method. And if your brand or your unique products start getting searched on google more often then it can get your brand out of sandbox.

So keep trying to get relevant audience with any channel you can use and it will help your brand rank better indirectly and can also get your website out of sandbox.

It can help for other things like brand awareness which can then boost organic traffic. Like, simply because of brand awareness, people will search you on Google and it is a very powerful ranking factor.

PPC traffic and organic traffic are indeed tracked separately in analytics tools. Direct PPC traffic doesn't directly influence your organic rankings. However, increased traffic can lead to indirect benefits. For instance, if your PPC traffic interacts positively with your site (low bounce rate, high engagement), it can signal to search engines that your site is valuable, which could help with rankings over time.

PPC traffic traditionally doesn't impact organic metrics like clicks and CTR. However, using PPC strategically, as suggested by some, may help signal relevance to search engines, potentially aiding a new website in overcoming the initial "sandbox" phase, though it doesn't directly affect long-term SEO rankings.

Paid and organic traffic are different things. Paid ad clicks won't get counted as organic.

Not directly but you can leverage your paid campaigns when doing link outreach

Also, some noob site owners don't know the difference between organic and paid placement so they might link to your page just because you appear up top during searches. This is a rare way to "earn" a backlink (due to the linking site's admin's lack of experience)

When you pay for ads to bring people to your site (PPC), those clicks won't directly improve your search engine ranking. But more visitors from ads could mean more people engaging with your site, which might indirectly help your site become more noticeable online.

PPC stats do not directly count towards any SEO efforts.

However keep in mind if you have a successful PPC campaign on the go you will also have more people then looking for your brand name on any future searches and compound type searches which will improve your SEO efforts.

For example you have a Tile shop called Tiles R Us. I searched for "Granite Bathroom Tiles". I clicked your ad on PPC I liked a few different tiles you sold but wanted to check around other places too. Then after checking other sites I now looked for your actual shop name Tiles R Us clicking your organic listing which then counts towards people looking for your brand and also would naturally increase you CTR. So it can help indirectly.

Hi Buddy, PPC will help you to come out of sandbox as well as it won't help you rank. So, both are true and correct;)

from what I've seen paid traffic doesn't count towards your click counts, impressions nor ctr in GSC, however if it's quality traffic (unique ips and somewhat "real" traffic) it will help getting out of the sandbox faster and also getting accepted in adsense

PPC traffic does count towards your click metrics and CTR, but it operates separately from organic traffic in terms of its source and its direct impact on SEO. Using PPC as a strategy to exit the Google sandbox faster is debated among SEO professionals and may or may not yield the desired results. It's essential to understand the nuances of both PPC and SEO strategies and how they can complement each other in your overall digital marketing efforts.
