Hi I need help.

I'm promoting an exam website. and im buying a package here from the marketplace for lets say 5-10 posts per month.
each of my exams has a url on my client site, and each exam has its own code and keywords that are usually

"exam1 practice test" (lets stay traffic 400 KD 10) - goes to url1
"exam1 questions" (lets stay traffic 1000 KD 20) - goes to url1
"exam2 practice test" (lets stay traffic 400 KD 10) - goes to url2
"exam3 questions" - url 3

if I have budget for lets say 10 guests posts per month and the site is pretty new
how should I choose the guests posts?
1. spend 10 guest posts on 1 url with same keyword ?
2. spend 10 guest posts on 1 url with different anchors?
3. spend 10 guest posts on different urls and different keywords?

im not sure if investing all guests posts on 1 keyword and url will provide more ranking value then to split them. on the other hand I figure that google might detect penalty if I have same url and keyword over and over

I think so too...

Just mix and match all of the URLs and anchors as much as possible, and not only those 2-3 URLs, also point links to the homepage, and also to other content pages or even categories if it makes sense. Approach the guest posts like it was content on your site and you had to link your readers with relevant resources (PDFs, category pages, videos, courses, etc) and you'll be fine.

The anchor texts part is especially important, moreso than the URLs part. You might be able to get away for a while by linking to 2-3 URLs only, but you'll definitely get penalized if you have the same anchor texts over and over again. So, aim for something like 1-3% exact match anchor texts, 5-10% partial anchor texts, 10-50% branded anchor texts, and the rest of the anchors make generic ones or naked URLs. I think this will be a good mix over the long run...

tazarbm thank you so much for your reply.
If I might ask a few following questions.

did you say 1-3% exact match?
out of every 100?

what if my current monthly budget is just for 10 guests posts?
and can I please just verify some of the anchors just to make sure
exact match - "exam1 practice test" ?
partical anchor - "exam1 practice" for example?
naked url - just the url
branded - is just "mydomain"
and generic like "click here " or "here"?

yep.

You can go higher if you want, but I've never seen anyone getting penalized for anchor text abuse when the anchors are so low

1-2 exact anchors should be enough, especially if you combine them with partial anchors too :)

correct!

Although, the partial match you wrote can also be an exact match if you're targeting the keyword "exam1 practice" as main keyword

naked url - just the url
yep

branded - is just "mydomain"
it's your brand, not necessarily the domain.

For example, your brand (company) could be called "John's Toys", but your domain could be besttoysforkids.com

In this case, the branded anchors could be any of these:

John's Toys
johns Toys
john's Toys
Johns toys
john's Toy Store
Johns toy Company
etc...

and generic like "click here " or "here"?
yeah, those and a lot more others like:

visit us
visit our site
this page on our site
check us out today
by clicking here
by visiting our site
by visiting our store
this article might help you
we explain it here
click on this link to visit us today
etc...

Any anchor text that's not brand, URL or exact / partial is generic

For a new site, diversification is key. I'd recommend option 3: spread those 10 guest posts across different URLs and keywords. This approach helps build a more natural-looking backlink profile and reduces the risk of penalties from Google.
