Another example of this domain seo model is the actual famous lawyer Alina Habba.
Type in Alina Habba or Alina Habba Blog/ News.

The first page is full with Alina Habba, on isuu, medium, she has multiple domains with same name; info, org, net (the main site) a wordpress(com) site , different topic on each domain like; blog, leadership, law....

Interesting, these different domains are not big sites, they are small, but you see she pops up muöltipüle times in the serps.
(I check it now with Bing) .

I like this model, yes sure you can not make multiple domains big each with hundreds of posts every year as a single entrepreneur.
But you can spread wisely good keywords as topic and then have some content on it, like 10-20 posts a month, and on your bigger main site more.

You see seo today is flexible and ranking multiple times is not so hard to gain when you use it smartly.

Note: The brand here is AH- Alina Habba, when you are new on the web planet and no one knows you, do sharing posts on FB and Twitter too, so that people will recognize your brand name within some time, weeks or months, whatever that will be like; jsmith(com) as example.

Pitch it.

ranking website is an art ANd i am an artist for that
Do you use multiple domain model with same name as;

jsmith.com
jsmith.net
jsmith.org or
jsmith. info /site/pro

not only use the .net and .org for 301 redirect to the com domain nop, use all them to rank in the serps with different niche related topics and content?
Ahh yep, m any SEO experts out there on the web telling you that this model will harm youre seo yadda,yadda,yadda....

Not it never has hurt your seo when you doing multiple domain seo the right way.

i personally use unique domains

peterleo: thank you.
When you look at bloomberg, yes they use unique domains too, with a twist of their own name like;

bloombergevent, bloomberglive, bloombergfinance..etc,etc whatsoever...

I think this is more unique then have;
jsnith.com
jsmith.org
jsmith.info
(aka the Alina Habba model)......

Hi, I have a company name "X". The client wants to create 5 different domains to rank the brand "X" with certain organic keywords.

The content are unique, just the structure are the same.

We tried this and didn't see any result.

Is this HURT our SEO?
Thanks.

Having five websites that look alike and talk about the same thing for your brand might actually be making it harder for people to find you online and search engine might find it repetitive.

From what I have read on your original post and in replies this is my take on the matter.

Using different websites to target different products/services using the same brand is fine to an extent, however you need to keep in mind what you gain from the site being more targeted you lose out in terms of having 1/5 of the budget to market the website/s. If you only have 1 domain to market this means you can spend your entire budget towards marketing the site apposed to splitting it 5 ways.

The 100 PBN links was never going to be enough to get a new domain and website ranking for anything worthwhile, add in the fact you used the same 100 PBN links on each of the 5 websites this just screams PBN low quality links that Google will simply ignore anyway, even if they were not a known PBN before your work, they sure will know now as it is just so unnatural for that to happen.

It also makes life more difficult in terms of all other aspects of SEO, as you now need to keep on top of SEO techniques for all 5 websites instead of just one. So something as simple as ensuring Javascript and CSS is minified you now need to do for 5 websites instead of 1 and that goes for every job on your optimisation list.

There is advantages and disadvantages to each option you could have 1 big site that covers all topics you wanted covering making the upkeep more cost efficient and easier or you could go the separate sites route which means each domain name and website is more targeted however upkeep is more costly and more work.

People who doing multiple domain seo want to gain multiple serp listings a wider "visibility".
Big media news sites dominate google fiorst page, but yes I agree that sometimes having multiple domain with your name+variation can be little bit confusing.

Like I want to see the bloomberg main site, but google is full with bloombergnef, bloombergevent, bloomberglife, etr,etc...yes that can be little bit confusing.
On the other side the "Alina Habba" domain model is more clear for me; alinahabba(net) , info and org it makes it clear who is about and each domain pitch a different topic with different content, the topic content ranks in google when people search for it.

It's more clear for me than the bloomberg sheer numbers of variations:

alinahabba(net) main topic
alinahabba(info) different topic
alinahabba(org) another different topic

and when I do a site tech check she uses premium ssl too not the free let's encrypt...my experience with premium ssl ($12 year) is that my browsers not showing the dumb "site is not secure" message bus this warning comes up often on websites with the free lets's encrypt ssl or more worse, with the cloudflare ssl. All sites (most of them) who making money and having good seo ranking have a premium ssl and often a dedicated ip too.

and at least a wordpress(com) site with same name I wonder that wordpress not outrank the alinahabba domains. Build the wordpress site as a contenthub overview linking to these other domains and have a contenthub of each of your multiple domains with different descriptions on the Home site too (when you have multiple categories on your site) and bingo! You doing a lot of uniqueness with this twist and google will like you in term of seo. This is way beyond a simple siloing, it's a silo booster.

Yes for each domain you need a different topic and content that may relate to your main site niche, but a different topic with its own content, this is why I prefer (sometimes) personal name domain, because within time, weeks or months people memorize your name on social media, then they type in your name in google and voila! You will pop up with multiple same name doamins + social media so you dominate google first page- this is the goal of doing this. You will not reach more visibility, you will get more ctr clicks from the serps....more ctr clicks= google will rank you higher.

You not need 10 0PBN links, I prefer content curation so the site gets fuller with articles and mix it with pillar long term articles who help in seo. The topic your domain itself should be medium competitive and longtail, not broad topics who are conquered by big media sites.

You have 5 multiple X domains, so usinf medium competitive topic keywords for each domain and setup a contenthub overview on the Home page.
Examples; digital ideas, digital strategies, and so on.....(use medium competitive of these) then interlink them all in the footer of each of your domain with the topic keyword as anchor;

digital ideas link to nameX.com domain
digital strategies links to nameX.net domain....

etc, etc...you build a satellit network with contenthub + categories (with description at the top of the page) and you will have a high quality site structure.
These SEO experts who telling you that this will hurt your seo not have any clue about it......the contenthub for each domain must be different based on your topic, when setup a wordpress(com) as a big contenthub overview to all of your multiple X domains, the description content should be different too an dnot use the same anchor here because wordpress(com) then will outrank you.

These modern domain extensions can give you a better ctr ar emore topic centered, but I not see rank them high on google as the com,net,info and org domains (info and org are listed below com domains the the serps I see) so the new modern extensions will rank more lower in the serps, your better higher ctr number will become meaningless.

I say it again for this you not need to buy multiple domains, Look at site bloomberg they dominate with multiple serp listings. Example of their structure is bloomber.com/ europe, it's s far beyond simple silo.

Have happy weekend!

This is PBN Backlink method. If google suspect you then can't give any rank

Yes, this can hurt your SEO. Even with unique content, using multiple domains with the same structure splits authority and makes the sites compete with each other. Google treats each domain separately, so none of them builds strong trust.
For branding and organic growth, it's better to use one main domain and focus on content, internal linking, and backlinks instead of spreading effort across multiple sites.
