Hi mates,

I have company in country A but I am interested in getting few GMB listings for it in country B. I need advice on how to manage NAP (Name, Address, Phone).

In country A its hard to get approved even when using paid service. In country B its easy to get approved without postcard by getting it from service provider here on BHW. My idea was to pay for 2-3 GMB listings in country B and they would all use same business name, fictitious address for each location and 1 local number from country B.

Eventually I will get additional phone number for country A that I can use for GMB NAP. Right now my company is not expecting to conduct business over the phone in country A and therefore its the reason why I am not setting GMB for it.

Does anyone have experience with multiple GMB? Any advice?

For GMB across borders, always use real, verifiable addresses. Google's sharp at catching fakes and you could get penalized.

If Google is sharp at catching fakes how do all the service providers here on BHW verify fake addresses and people continue to use their services?

In country A where GMB listing requires verification (postcard, video) I can get a good business address (ie. virtual PO BOX rental) and can verify it through real Google. Other than for verification purposes & NAP this address serves me no purpose, I don't plan to receive any mail sent there. That's why I prefer to have an alternative way.

In country B there is no strict verification process at all and GMB verification service providers have people that can easily approve them. For the cost of getting 1 GMB listing approved in tier 1 country I can get 3 listings in tier 2 country. In this tier 2 country I see GMB being placed in popular locations for tourists. For example if this would be India near Taj Mahal on Google Maps there would be several GMB for small tour operators. They offer tours of India and Taj Mahal is one of the places where they bring tourists. The idea is that tourists use Google Maps to look around Taj Mahal and find Tour Company XYZ, visit their website and book tour with them.

In my opinion if I get GMB listing in country A where its hard ROI will be low. There will be very little amount of people that can find my GMB on Google Maps. There is not a lot of people actively searching for service that is provided in another country. If you have tour business company based in Bulgaria that provides tours to India I think there will be very little customers looking for India tours in Bulgaria. At the same time if I have GMB near Taj Mahal there will be thousands of foreign tourists that use Google Maps and they can find my listing, visit my website and get trip to India.

Google needs to use unique and real names, phone numbers, and addresses. Just ensure your two companies follow its rules and maintain NAP consistency. Include only real not fake NAP.

Did you ever hear of service providers here at Marketplace that can verify any GMB listing without required postcard / video verification? Did you hear of people getting Twitter verified blue checkmarks by paying for this service? Did you hear of service providers being able to insert people's links into Wikipedia, Forbes, BBC, Washington Post, etc? This is BlackHatWorld forum after all where people do a lot worse things than having fake addresses for their businesses on GMB. There are literally thousands of business owners worldwide that submit fake NAP to GMB and other places. Some do it for SEO purposes, some do it because they simply don't have a real address to begin with. Listing a business in multiple locations is not a crime and people do what they can to exploit the system in their favor.

With GMB verification there is an inside man that service provider pays to verify any listing with any NAP. This is the same as how service providers have inside man in other large companies and can approve any listing.
