I am using an ad provider to get paid for ad impressions in on of my FB applications. As you guys know, you can still use fb:iframe in the applications canvas page, which is how i have my ads installed to create imporessions.

Well, since we can't use fb:iframe in a Facebook PAGE that uses static FBML, has anyone figured out how to install an ad from a company that pays per impression in a FB Page these days ? Anyway possible to do it, or generating impressions in a FB Page is a no go ?

Thanks !

Well...uh...OK

Thanks for that motivational speech:D

Are you saying that there IS a way ? I may have to dig around to figure it out...but knowing if something out there is working would be nice to have clarified. That way I'm not wasting my time on one step and can just move on.

I haven't found anything yet anywhere to suggest that there is a workaround.

Could you or someone else maybe point me in the right direction ?

Thanks to all !

Haha your welcome, I'm glad someone stared a thread in here that's not to do with the Facebook spamming for once.

You can get an iframe on a fanpage tab, but it only shows on the click of a link.

WTF ? People do something called Facebook spam ?! Well I'll be a ....

Anyway, yeah your right, I forgot about the click on the fb:iframe script.

But I was still looking for something simpler...simpler to program and as a sustitute for the fb:iframe. We can still display an image, and I'm looking for something like that incase someone stops buy, decides they aren't interested and doesn't click, but I still get a .002 cents for trying. Actually more like .00O2 cents.:(

As I'm writing this, an idea just struck me that I might be bale to give a try. GEEZ, all this shite for something that used to be simple !

Anybody looking at Bebo, Friendster, etc. for easier programing alternatives ? What are your opinions now with the FB changes, other than they...well.....blow ?

spammers are friggin spamming and kick-ass guys like me have to bear the consequences ;)

it is pretty simple to add a banner to your fbml box dude

or am i misunderstanding summat here?

yeah you just create a simple app with your ad code, add it to your page and then move it to wall view
done

check tos with both your network and Fb

@Sprouts Yes Thanks that is exactly what I'm talking about

@leed Good suggestion. All I need to do is figure out how to move the app to the page like that. Tried it before. Wasn't successful. Probably due to my own coding. I've had the same thing happen with moving to the wall, kinda like making a landing page. I'll keep working it and maybe I'll get something to work. Good suggestions. Thanks !

(Now if only i could figure out how to send a mass chat...)
