What is the best niche to do affiliate marketing on Reddit? What is the audience like? Has anyone tried creating subreddits and doing affiliate marketing on there? And is there any value in selling subreddits later on? I am specifically talking about sfw subreddits, not nsfw subreddits because I know that there is fairly good traffic from past experiences.

Best niche is the one that people don't know about so it's not oversaturated. As Reddit moves towards more AI spam detection you want to steer clear of common affiliate niches. You don't want to be using the same keywords/urls that have been flagged after other affiliates spammed them.

Audience is potentially massive but its not free money. You can develop your own subreddit if you work hard. If you start posting in a pre existing popular sub, there will be a mod team. Those mods will flag your link drops as spam and ban you.

Selling a subreddit isn't easy. Reddit doesn't want it to happen so you need to be sneaky. Agreeing to a price can be hard since it takes effort to make a valuable subreddit (so mods value it high) but anyone can create a subreddit so most buyers aren't willing to spend money when they could build their own subreddit. The bigger subreddits have mod teams and the other mods aren't likely to sell out. Generally better to keep the subreddit and figure how to monetize it yourself.

Selling reddit accounts was profitable but the last few months Reddit made it harder and wiped out many account sellers.

There is no "best niche". It depends on many factors. Usually bad niches are the ones made up of younger tech savvy folks, that just hate promotion and don't buy anything. The best niches would be the ones populated by less tech savvy and older people, or the ones with more women. An incredible new toy for a cat that people never saw, for example. These forums are filled with the "average joe". Some unusual make up or facial cream that you can sell to girls in a girly subreddit.

Essentially, sell to people who like to buy bullshit. Women, the elderly, pet people, etc. The standard human being that doesn't know much about anything and has nothing better to do with their free time other than buying BS on the internet.
