Is recreating this News theme possible?

Can the newspaper tagdiv or newsmag theme be created using Gutenberg blocks?

I need a newspaper layout but the thing is if the development of those themes suddenly stops just like what happened with the Bimber theme, it would be messed up. People are upset in the comments section on the Bimber theme.

I do have Astra Pro (purchased) but how to get a similar look to Newsmag theme?

Did you checkout starter sites of wpastra?

Use the one that matches newsmag. If none does I would not suggest you to go on the path of customizing astra or other theme to match newsmag, it may lead to your site getying hacked down the road.

I wouldn't recommend using the Newspaper Tagdiv theme in combination with Gutenberg blocks.
This theme is designed to work with Elementor (pro).

If you would like to have a blog theme, check out Spectra One for example and use one of their pre-designed templates.
You can use the new full site editor in combination with Gutenberg blocks rather than using a theme that is not compatible with it.

What I'm concerned is about development.

The developer of the Bimber theme suddenly abandoned the project and if you go to the comments section of the Bimber theme at Themeforest, you will see people are upset. What if I start using the newspaper theme and tagdiv suddenly abandons the project in the future?

I did and none of it matches the looks and feels of the newspaper 12 theme. For example, the social share buttons, the emojis, quiz etc.

Hmm, but it will come nowhere near the newspaper or newsmag theme in terms of looks and feels.

Check there may be plugins for each or you can use Astra widgets called ultimate addon for elementor.

This is not recommended, I would highly suggest you to go with tagdiv builder as this is fully compatible and would be good for future uses, and this theme is fully optimised and very fast, also it comes with multiple pre-build layout you can easily import and make your desire site as you wish, Thanks
