This is sounding funny but it is a good advice. The money is blocked as desktops which is not giving you any return.

I also thought about mining on a laptop, but I couldn't figure out the settings without help. I thought that my asys rog strix would pay off for me 3 times if I could mine monero. I was told by an experienced person that this would not make a problem on a laptop. It will be a year before the laptop can be thrown away.

Nicehash would be the best option if you have free electricity...

Maybe he has access to 30 laptops because he is a computer lab administrator at his school/workplace, and the electricity is paid for by the school/office, so after school/working hours, he turns on all the laptops to start mining using software like nicehash, then the next morning he stops all progress and repeats all processes in the evening just for a few extra bucks with no effort.

Meanwhile, buying a dedicated miner will cost you few hundreds to thousands at start, something he wanted to avoid.

Yeah, it's not literally free, it won't be slighly higher but jump up twice.

Does your search show that cudominer is better than Nicehash or any of other miners mentioned? (I don't know if any miners were mentioned before in this thread, lol)

Are you sure if it's going to reach even $100 a month with 20 laptops and (let's say) 12 hours of mining every single day?

@randomstring sorry to hurt your feeling but your setup will probably earn you a few cents per month. As others have recommended you can still monetize those 20 laptops by running some bots , mother / child setups for instagram for example etc. Game servers for MMORPGS , Minecraft for example etc. Those are the best use cases for those laptops if you want to earn something from them

An example of a thread that goes into this tip in more detail would be great if you had some recommendations.
