Do google care about server hosting location for SEO?

I'm using a server hosting in my country in asia , but my target is for globally from USA and europe,
can I get rank?

If most of your traffic comes from Asia then buy a server nearby but there are a lot more things to consider and not just the server location

Not directly at least, probably slightly matters,
The most important stuff is that your website should be having a good loading speed,

A nearby server location will make it way easier for that, the further the server is, the slower it will load for the majority of users,
This will affect the UX (core vitals, bounce rate, etc...) and impact your SEO negatively

In terms of speed, I'd say buy a server that's close to the location of your traffic.

The physical location of your website's server/host doesn't matter long as the website is able to load fast. In fact, the extension of the domain has more influence than server location.

Yes you can get ranking from globally. But it takes time and you have to promote your site by using ads and SEO technique.

According to the laws of many states in the US, sites in certain niches are required to be hosted in the US. If your niche is more simple and does not fall under these laws, you can have a server outside the US.

But, if your site is not hiding behind a CDN (like Cloudflare) and is explicitly identified where your server is located, then you will receive traffic from Google from all over the world and at a minimum from the US.

To get more traffic from the US and less junk traffic, you are required to be located and defined as a server hosted in the US. This is the basics, the basic knowledge of anyone running a website, I so thought such questions should never arise anymore.

If you hide behind a CDN, what your traffic will be will only be determined by who links to you.

I've noticed that Google's pagespeed tests are now localized. I get different results from a continent to continent. So I suggest maybe try to check it from multiple locations or use GTMetrix and their location options. If it's fast it shouldn't be a problem. Also a CDN definitely helps.

i don't think server location would directly influences the ranking, but Google do make website speed as one of their ranking parameter while server location could determines your website speed if most users access it from another part of the world

i think , a good web hosting is necessary for keeping it online, A website speed & SEO matter for success, the location can affect how fast a website loads & how will ranks in serach engine & also your increase traffic ,conversions

The location of your server doesn't matter, website performance and content quality play a major part. So if your website has good performance of course it will be ranked.

A few years ago, i had a website hosted in an European server, most of the traffic was from EU countries and less from US (the blog was mostly aimed at USA traffic), after 6 months i decided to move it to a US server, guess what? most of the traffic changed from EU to US.
At that time i was getting 60% EU and only 20% US, the rest being from other parts of the world, after the switch the traffic become like this: 80% US 10% EU and 10% Others.
The website was an amazon affiliate website with a .com extension, all text was in english and my target was US traffic.

This was about 3 years ago i don't know if things changed or not but if i were you i would pick an US-based hosting service.

In my opinion, only thing that matters is the site's performance
Not where the site is hosted. Shared hosting will be slow no matter where it's located.
