If you are ever in these parts don't say "crayfish". When I first visited here 20 years ago from West Texas I called them crayfish and my wife's family looked at me like I'd just kicked a puppy, lol. Crawfish season is sadly so far away

Ah I see! I'm from what people in the states call the deep south. The culture and the people are very uniquely different. Yankees from the northern states say "crayfish" and don't typically eat them. Southerners call them "crawfish" and we absolutely love crawfish!
