He was referring that all banking related work like transfers and deposit will be there. It is very easy for him to get the licenses because of the power he holds.
His dream of turning X into a social media-banking hybrid app is never going to come true. It works in China because doing anything in China is slow and difficult, and online banking never existed before, so having an app that links social media and banking in one is a massive improvement to what they had before. Every bank in most developed countries have apps, and most have a way of using the app to make payments, even if your bank doesn't - Google Wallet already exists, so does Apple pay. So there's already alternatives - why would you use the social media app where people just get angry at each other all day to make payments instead?

lol so true! Right now twitter seems more like quora/bhw spam to me. All those "verified" accounts keep asking one-line questions about any niche I follow on twitter. It is so sad to see what twitter has become now.

He plans to turn X/Twitter from current state into a payment app along with current features, probably will be hybrid of PayPal which he was ex ceo and Crypto payments. He has the resources to make it happen. It will be interesting to see.

i like musk - but thats a def no.
X could be a next step to a more centralised crypto payment system. Most users on X are pro crypto and less pro fiat currencies so it's perfect for a controlled opposition like Elon to have a platform that baits people in to thinking X is a decentralised and anonymous payment system.
The banks that rule us wants to ban crypto but you can only centralise it.

People start journeys with titles like "Journey to $1 million per month in 12 months" when they're not even making $5k per month and people are like "You go girl!"
We're talking about the world's wealthiest man, who has defied all odds with the vast majority of his companies. He has some failures, but he has some incredible success rates.
He's got money(his own and access to huge capital from others), experience, resources and very high intelligence.
And people are calling him "delusional"
Think about what you're saying.
You're calling the richest man in the world delusional.. It doesn't make sense.
So if he is delusional, then what does that make the rest?
The normal guy on the street has "common sense", and where does that get him? Struggling to pay his bills and at the mercy of the world.
Musk is delusional and lacks common sense. Where does that get him? One of the most powerful people on the planet and the single wealthiest man alive.
