Hi guys I have a YouTube Channel for a very small niche (Working on a new one BTW), my videos are ranking on the keywords that I want and everything is well but the keywords have low traffic volumes so I was not making a lot from YouTube in past few years, the RPM also was like 3$/ per 1K views. But this month jumped to like 7$ dollars or something some of my videos have a CPM of 200$ or more. What's happening here ? my guess was it is because of the Back Friday advertisers are paying more for ads but why I noticed this only this year. Any idea ? are you experiencing the same thing ?

could be Q4 and or the anti adblocking measures that YouTube has been implementing.
if it is the anti ad blocking and this is going to continue like this, I'll be super happy with the extra-unexpected money from my channel ! Thanks

Most likely, these videos have few views, so the statistics on them are not indicative.

But this is closer to reality))

Your assumptions are correct - advertisers spend more money during the last two months of the year)

but why I noticed this only this year.
This is very strange) Usually, YouTubers eagerly await November and December every year.

Thank you for the responses, well let's see how it goes in the next few months !

My forecast is that there will be an increase of another 20-30% in December, and a drop by 2-3 times in January))
Let's see how it goes
It is random and thus do not get excited by this. You should consider average monthly earnings as sometimes the rpm will get very low as well.
I m not excited at all, The money I m getting from AdSense I m giving it away anyway so it is not a big deal I m making X20 from the traffic going to my website

RPM also jumps because the channel is now aged. Same niche new channel will get RPM. It can also be ocassional like in your case because of festive season.

Previous years it did not happen because of corona. Now the disease is over and people are spending like crazy.

Are those videos with high CPM money related content ?
I don't think so, but what I did is I established myself as an influencer in a small niche the audience of this niche is people working for billion-dollar companies or the billion-dollar companies themselves, and these companies are not using ads to market their products they are mainly using B2B for sales, (super high ticket products/services). My idea is by the time they decide to explore social media and influencers in the upcoming years I will be number 1, so if a random girl doing some makeup tutorial and gets 20K sponsoring deals, I'm sure I can get X10 that if I reach my goal. The second is while growing the audience I'm building a solution to sell it later when the audience is big enough. That's why I don't care about AD revenue for the moment and I'm giving it away. But to answer your question my CPM is not high right now but for some reason, some of my old videos got like 200$ up to 600$ CPM not sure if this going to be forever! but I'm sure in the upcoming years probably my channel will be the only channel with the craziest CMP on the platform. I've been betting on this since 2018 when I got this idea, and every year I'm getting more confident that it is going to happen soon.

I didn't know that the age of a channel can affect the RPM.

Best of luck !
So you are a small niche with no competitors ?

Hi today happy and blessed pentecoste to you!
yep, money never sleeps right? You must do it as a high spiritual master- the money should work for you not the other way around like be a money slave, this is the whole secret!

How famous people like Ben Shapiro, Tucker Carlson, Brand Russell or in spiritual niche Ralph Smart, making so much money on youtube, when the cpm is most case sis low like $2.61, how make 6-7 figures a month with this? Ok, I think they promoting affiliate products too in their video description.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, or I have facial or conscious blindness, my gosh! I not seen any yt ads on these videos from Russell, Shapiro or Tucker? Must be some conscious blindness........

The cpm so I understand, is based on 1000 views? When you have 100k subscribers and 10% of them watching your 10 minute video= will that will be count as 100.000 views? 100.000 views with a cpm of $2.61 should be $2600 for each 10 minute video is that right?
