Well, I'm not sure how YouTube distributes the shorts especially if you don't have subs yet but I'm assuming it is the same as TikTok so if you are from an Asian country 80% of the audience is going to be from Asia, looking at my stats so far 53% are from the US around 30% are from Canada and then comes India and other countries. I'm based in Canada so I think it makes sense.
YouTube and TikTok works differently in terms of region targeting. TikTok generally first locks you in your region and then distributes the video later to other regions too.
YouTube don't seem to do that.
