Howdy folks!

The time has come for me to call it quits. I have reached a point where my passive income is sufficient to sustain my lifestyle.
I made money from e-commerce and invested in real estate, for those wondering.

It took 7 years of gruelling hard work, which has paid off. Passively, my portfolio returns about 200K a year, projected to grow to 500K in the next 10 years.
That's just the cash flow from rents, not counting the capital growth of the underlying assets.

The only backhat method I use is to order backlinks every now and then, but not that many. The rest is all just straightforward white hat stuff.

The reason I am posting this is not to brag (ok may be a little..haha) but to inspire others and also to see if others have also reached similar destinations and how they have done it.

Feel free to ask questions and share your experiences too.

sounds like you're still working if you're ordering backlinks and doing white hat stuff

Any advice/tips on real estate?
Start with residential but eventually move to commercial, higher yield and less headaches.

Congratulations and enjoy your semi-retired life.
thank you, now I want to pursue things that interest me as opposed to what makes money.

The backlinks I ordered were for the e-commerce business. I am in the process of wrapping things up, so yeah kinda working till the handover is complete.

That is awesome! I still working to get where I want, right now I'm just helping family and friends with social media and others on youtube and twitch, small bussines nothing serious but still looking to get that sweet income and invest the money as you did in real state since that income will be really good, but still working on so far I have one house but is a start was difficult but the thing is that I made it and yeah I just got hype to see that you made it and is posible I will start working harder now and get better offers.

Awesome, you beat the game. I'm still in the battle.
Thanks. Best to define your goals, stick to one plan and not move your goal post when you reach it. Good luck!

Congrats on buying the house. Don't be too eager to pay it off. Save cash so you can purchase more, and let the time do its thing.

I sincerely would to like hear about your journey or the financial path you took that brought you to this point of satisfaction (where you want to retire)

You need to give some perspective here.

Age, location, degrees. Anything to grab onto.

18 years old with 7 years of experience making 200K while working on Bachelor in USA? Nice!
65 year old? You are most likely behind curve with those earnings.

Not to bash you or anything but this can go so many ways.

Either way enjoy Beach and girls!

Fair point. Here is a bit of a background.

I am 43, originally from India, and moved to Sydney 20 years ago with $3000 in my pocket. I did my Masters in Engineering and worked for a big US corporate company for 3 years when I realised I didn't like corporate culture.

I had managers who I liked to boss me around (what time to come to work, how much money I would take home, etc.) and colleagues I didn't like. I didn't want to spend my life in this rat race. So I quit and did Forex trading for 6 years, I was moderately successful but did not quite get there. I missed the crypto bubble, didn't get the idea of mining and never thought anyone would buy this horseshit...haha.

So I quit Forex and purchased an existing business. It was all new at the start but nothing too complicated. The revenue jumped quickly and, during COVID, had a very good run. However, I realized I had swapped managers from my previous life) to business partners and colleagues to employees. They all were exactly the same. I swapped the corporate rat race for the business rat race. The results were financially better, but it was just another race.

So I started investing in passive income via real estate investments. Now I have property managers and tenants. They enable me to have full control over my time, and finally, I am at peace.

Remember, don't chase happiness, seek peace instead, as happiness is just peace in motion.

I'm glad to see somebody reach the destination that a lot of online entrepreneurs want to get to.

The whole point of online publishing as well as online income generation for the most part is passive income.

What's better than working once and earning many times from that work?

It's great to see somebody reach that point to the tune of $200,000 a year projected to grow to $500,000 per year.

I really appreciate you posting this because it gives me encouragement to focus on building assets in addition to helping my clients succeed.

I make most of my income through service provision, and it really is quite inspiring and encouraging to see people quitting active income because they have built up a large enough passive income asset base.

I hope to reach the same position as you at some time in the future.

Hopefully sooner rather than later.

I wish you all the best in your early retirement and thanks for sharing this encouraging post.

The two books I would recommend is "Psychology of Money" and "Die with Zero". Both books are excellent to give you a bigger prespective.
Think of each dollar bill as your soldier, put those soldiers to work to generate more output. Over time those little gains would add up.
