I keep on hearing use the methods which has been used by lots of people but add your own twists to make it work. Can someone given an example of a "twist"?

There was a guy who was using a method that made him $100/day. After some time, the methods got patched, and he shared it on a forum. Then, another guy tried the method, added a twist, and started making $100/day.

Do you know if this method still working??

It can be anything, at any step of the process. For example, a method using organic content on Twitter for acquisition could be twisted to do it on Reddit since they're both 'text' social medias.

Generally what this means is that instead of copying a method 1-1 to try your own version of it. By definition if you're copying someone you are not first or original.

An example from the OF industry:

Tinder got really strict about having any type of link/social on your bio. Even variations in text such as IG, insta, etc. would get flagged.

To counter this girls started to promote their socials by including a mirror selfie in their profile which had the social media handle written with lipstick on the mirror.

Twist it up.

My friend posted adult galleries on TGP (yes, it's old old time). His twist was add clickable text below banners. This simple action increase CTR (+100-200%).

I realize people don't want to go over their exact steps because it will lead to many others doing the exact same thing and the method will lose its power. But does the "twist" have to be highly original and highly creative for it to work?

Not at all, your twist just needs to be the reason why people should buy from you as opposed to your competitors.

I have a business where i sell the exact same product as my competitors. There are 0 differences. My sole twist is i am considerably cheaper than my competitors.
