Hello,

On new, non-aged channels, it seems like likes on videos and comments do not register. Likes seem to be working normally on one of my accounts I created on October, but it had the same issue at first.

Does anybody know what the cooldown is for it? Below I have attached image proof:

I notice that in most of the videos I watched, but don't know why even with normal aged accounts, some video show it others no I always though that was normal.

Were you using aged Google accounts with newly created YouTube channels, or were the channels aged as well?

aged as well, I though that was normal on the account, I also notice it in other youtuber I follow, some videos shows the counter and others don't I might believe is a bug because of the anti ad blocks campaing the have right now or could be browser related, there was a redit discussion that youtube intentionaly slow down other browsers forcing you to use only chrome based browsers just thinking but might not be related at all.

I asked TeamYouTube about this on X https://twitter.com/petsims99/status/1728742883292008831 with screenshots, but they seem to be evading the topic. I also tried to log in through an (Android) emulator, but the issue still occurs (on mobile, it shows the counter go up but the like doesn't actually register).

I'll reply again if likes start working again and report the timespan. I'll make a few more channels and see if the issue gets fixed after the previous channels to test.

I'm not using any service for it tho, I created the channels just to like other people's comments, not videos lol

Yeah on my channels they seem to go and then come back after a few days

I haven't noticed this yet. When it comes back, does it go again?

In case you are talking about the issue reappearing, no, not from what I've seen.

The issue did appear at first on an account I made in October (fresh google account, no YT eligibility levels active), but after a few weeks, I noticed that likes started working - the issue has not resurfaced since then. Note that the invisible counter only applies when accessing YT via web, rather than app.
