Dolphin Anty Faulty Geolocation When Using Proxy

I'm new to this, so I may be doing something wrong, but I've ecountered this with 2 separate proxy providers now (IPRoyal and Proxy-Cheap), so I'm assuming its something wrong with Dolphin Anty.

I'm able to connect to the proxy fine (Check Connection is Active). These proxy addresses are all American, as shown by a multitude of sites along the lines of "WhatisMyIp". However, Dolphin is unable to correctly set the Geolocation.

In 1 instance, the IP address is in DC, but Dolphin thought it was in New York. In the 2nd instance, the IP address is in LA, but Dolphin thinks its in Moscow (see image). I even manually tried setting the GEO when creating a Dolphin profile. However, when I visit Bumble, the website is displayed in Russian, which means it is picking something up from the Dolphin browser that's telling it that the location is Russia. In the 1st example, Bumble interpreted a DC IP address as Serbian.

What seems to be the issue here? Of course, Bumble and Tinder instantly picked up the new accounts as suspicious and required photo verification.

Update, GoLogin also shows this proxy is in Russia, but an IP tracking website shows its in California:

What on earth is going on?

  1. IP Geolocation Databases: Every IP address on the internet can be tracked back to a rough geographical location using IP geolocation databases. These databases are maintained by various organizations and can sometimes contain outdated or inaccurate data. If an IP was recently moved or repurposed from one location to another, it may take time for databases to update.
  2. Browser Fingerprinting: Beyond just IP addresses, websites might use browser fingerprinting techniques to determine more about a user. This involves looking at various attributes of your browser and system (e.g., user agent, screen resolution, installed fonts, etc.) to create a unique fingerprint. If there's something in your Dolphin browser's fingerprint that indicates Russian usage (e.g., a Russian language pack or settings), that might be the reason Bumble displays in Russian.
  3. Dolphin Settings: Ensure that Dolphin's language settings are appropriately configured. An incorrect language setting might lead websites to default to a specific language (like Russian in your case).
  4. Account Behavior: Dating apps like Tinder and Bumble have sophisticated algorithms to detect suspicious activity. Even if you use a proxy, consistent behavior that looks like bot activity (rapid profile creations, similar bio patterns, etc.) can raise flags. Furthermore, if the geolocation derived from the IP doesn't match other data they might be accessing (like device geolocation data), that too can be a trigger.
  5. Manual GEO Setting: When you manually set the GEO in Dolphin or any other software, ensure that it doesn't conflict with other settings or extensions that might also be trying to manage geolocation data.

Hi, I am facing a similar issue.
For example:
I am using the Residential Proxies from Geonode, for example for Spain
I add this proxy to Dolphin Anty
When I start the Dolphin Anty Browser, the Google Chrome browser opens
The language of the browser, even though I am using a Spanish proxy, is not Spanish!
How come? How can this be solved?

sounds like your ip is leaking and being detected .

Is there anything I can do to avoid this leaking? Do I need to search for another Proxy provider?
I have used paid Residential Proxy from Geonode...
Find another proxy provider. Make sure your proxies are good.

Hi, I have tried this today.
Again, I tried a Residential proxy for Spain, but when I use that proxy together with Dolphin Anty, the page is covered with Russian language and DNS from either USA or UK.
So, this one is not working properly either...

If it's not the proxy, you'll have to go through each level of your connection environment to see where the leak might be. Browser configuration, maybe the account behaviour or login patterns, might even be on GPS enabled settings or similar factors. Best to cover your bases since the ball definitely dropped somewhere.

Oh my, how am I going to find that out...
Actually quite interesting though. I thought that if I am using AND Dophin Anty AND a (paid) Proxy, that that would do the trick, but it seems it's not.

Thanks anyway!

Yeah, devil's on the details with that one. Finding exactly where the issue came from is a tricky bit of business. You can try changing one factor at a time. Like same proxy, different anti-detection browser, etc. etc.

Best of luck!

I'm facing the same issue, hope this post will be updated with a solution

Btw the solution for now is to ask for another proxy in replacement and hope it shows the right location in Dolphin

As far as I know it appears to be a browser problem, it doesn't update the IP location or it request a databse who hasn't updated the IP informations, but I didn't find a way to handle this

Geolocation issues are one of the reasons I decided not to use Dolphin. There was also a problem like yours and other problems, and also the fact that Dolphin sometimes showed the real geolocation

I was checking out Dolphin but I seems there are issues with it searching around here.

Adspower has a really afforable single user plan which is all I need to start, much moreso that GoLogin or Hidemyacc even, though they aren't terribly expensive.

Curious what you use for anti-detect browser now?

I also have
