Hi All. For anyone running their own subreddit, how do you keep Redditors from trolling/ watching your subreddit?

I just created a new sub last week and I'm warming it up before I start using it for indexing and ranking. However, I don't want those toxic Redditors in my business.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Also, what do you guys and ladies think about creating a subreddit that us marketers can build up and use for ourselves? The thought crossed my mind, that if we all banned together, we could build a massively huge sub. As long as we support each other with upvotes and cross-posts etc, we could all freely post our articles and get them indexed and rank very quickly. Your thoughts???

You'd have to make the Subreddit either private or restricted to more control over who does what on it. For annoying trolls you can give them a taste of the good ol' ban hammer.

For me I set comment to manually approve it any trolls I block them no mercy:)

i never had such problems, my posts are set to manually approve just in case but i didnt get those trolls even once

block , ban and set to private unless you can get a few mods to work for free and do it for you...

Thanks everyone for your feedback! I will use your suggestions.

If reddit mods don't get tripped, fuck the competition or annoying users.

So try and make it look like a real sub with activity ;)

Add a few more accounts as mods on the sub.
When they won't be able to ban your subreddit, they will try to ban the mod/s.

If it is set to private, will posts still rank, i.e., still crawlable by Google? Or is it best to use restricted?

What's your opinion on discord, here, reddit and YouTube subforums.
