I am assuming that most marketers use fake profiles on Social Media to promote different products - for a variety of reasons: privacy, wanting to promote different products (diversification), etc.

I think that would mean the profile should still look 'real', with personal pictures, etc. and not just stock photos.

Is this correct? or, how do you make the profile look organic? Or do you really not need personal/family/friends/vacation photos, etc?

Thanks in advance.

There are many product or service profiles which are having more engagement than real profiles
Depends on individual strategy for that niche and audience experience with your content

Your words are very correct, now people are getting into trouble because of fack account.

Any tips on how to not get into trouble? I want to start a marketing only profile on FB but would love to learn from others before making all the newbie mistakes on my own.

Would you be willing to PM me? I have some specific niche questions, and want to avoid getting shut down early on due to newbie mistakes. thank you

Maybe "most", but the most successful ones are probably real people just promoting stuff in their profiles. A cute fit girl promoting protein bars, for example. Someone with a cool dog promoting dog treats. Usually you need to have something interesting in your personal life to make this work with a real account.

You can also simply have a profile that doesn't pretend to be anyone else. Example: If i'm selling a toy for cats, i might just post picture of amazing random cats, or cool facts about cats. I don't need a fake profile to promote something. But it all depends on the niche. Regardless, any approach is incredibly hard and most of the time requires some sort of financial investment.

Thank you for the great reply. Makes sense.

A couple of questions tho. If I'm selling a toy for cats and have a random cat profile, do you mean a totally separate login to FB for not a real person (I thought they only want real people accounts)... OR a 'page' promoting a product where my personal profile is the admin, etc?

I guess my concern is I want to promote several different products, in different niches, but don't want followers or friends to get confused with all the other stuff going on. That's why I'm thinking a different profile for each promotion or niche. But maybe I'm overthinking it.

But I can put some financial investment into doing it right from the start.

Thanks again! Cheers

It would be a better idea to have a different profile for each niche. You can promote different products accordingly. You can customize each profile according to the niche and use a generalized name.

Thank you for the confirmation. This is what I was thinking might be best.

Cheers
