No-Index Effect on Topical Authority?

Has anybody tested bulk creating "no-indexed" but followed pages using AI.

This would be purely to increase topical authority of site overall.

Core content would be indexed and high quality.

Interesting thought.
But why won't you index them?

If they help in topical coverage in some way you're sure to get traffic for them from long tail queries and semantic queries (I've experienced this several times with my custom keyword articles, they got impressions and clicks from search queries I never thought of) even though the seed keyword doesn't have any noticeable search volume.

I'm testing ways of using AI content on-site, in a hidden way.

Currently testing AI content in structural pages, instead of the usual posts.

But the next test is going to be churn out a ton of no-index, but followed AI posts, to see if they help rank a micro niche site.

AI content isn't the problem. Topical authority is. You have to cover the topic in greater depth than competitors and Google is bound to rank you even if your content is subpar and AI

I havent tested it but im interested in the results. I can see why this is worth a test.

Because in a sense, if it works then the implications are that we can pump out

thousands of pages for topical authority that are cheap and low quality, and they

will benefit the few high quality pages we actually allow to index.

Especially if the Helpful content system doesnt judge page quality of non indexed pages.

The other end is if it doesnt affect anything at all then idk.

You can start wit a small test of a few websites trying to rank for a new word you make up.

But one or some have a ton of noindexed pages about it to see if they rank higher than websites that only have the targetting pages and no other conent, index or not.

@Waifu_tatyana - AI content isn't a problem at the "moment". Plus, the quality isn't something I'm comfortable pumping out on WH sites. I'm looking for the Grey area.

@Jaordas - Yeah, certainly going to test this out. Got 3 sites to finish up, and will then look for an appropriative niche.

The no index pages might have a effect on tropical authority if the contents are of in depth and well researched articles. I don't know how much impact it can have on your site.
