What Should I Do to Improve Topical Authority?

I’m trying to rank for a keyword which Google ranks my home page (P) for it. To improve ranking, I wrote 15-20 high quality & handwritten supporting articles (A,B,C,…) pointing to my pillar page (in this case Homepage) with my main keyword as the anchor text, to improve its topical authority based on the old Siloing technique. The schema is like this:

The problem is, after two months of publishing; I don’t see any improvements in the ranking.

I read this article from **splishsplash** which suggests reversing the internal linking from pillar page to the supporting articles in a deepen article.

My question is whether I should write a full article on my homepage and link to all supporting articles? Could it be enough to just include all supporting articles in the footer or header?

Will this strategy enhance my ranking for this keyword?

I highly appreciate any suggestions you may have.

Exhaustively cover as many topics as possible within your niche/industry/market and strategically use internal links.

But, don´t do this "in bulk", make sure each piece of content you´re putting out there on the internet really showcases and demonstrates your authority in your field.

Heavily focus on building as many E-E-A-T signals as possible.

Not nearly enough to demonstrate your experience and expertise to Google (or anybody).

Your lack of organic performance can be due to many factors.

Siloing's a strong start, but consider blending it with internal linking strategies. Connecting those supporting articles via an intuitive web of internal links can strengthen your site's topical depth further.

Can you explain a bit more, please? Do you mean by internal linking from other pages to these supporting articles and strengthening them?

These 15-20 supporting articles are only to increase my topical authority for 1 main keyword. I'm generating many more for other keywords. My website is DR 40 (none manipulated with over 1400 indexed pages)

For building topical authority you are on right path with that content structure.
Something equivalent to SILO structure is a good starting point.
Next interlink your content based on relevance.
Link to relevant trusted external web properties like a reference/credits section at bottom with these links.

Most Important: Only relevant backlinks from quality web properties.
Your link profile should appear natural and avoid/minimize use of backlinks pointing to inner pages.
Point maximum of your backlinks to homepage.
Use anchors wisely, personally I minimize using keyword anchors.

About page, author page, contact page, social profiles, brand pages on trusted web properties.
If applicable don't skip info pages like privacy, disclaimer, toc etc.

To sum up I will say building Topical authority for your website is like most online GURUS build their brand & trust online.

I'd say do this. It only works if you're somewhat familiar with your niche and can brainstorm queries without taking aid of keyword tools.

Identify 5-6 of your competitors preferably in various authority ranges (say maybe DA 60, DA 50, DA 40, DA 25, and DA 15).

Start by analysing the DA 15 site's sitemap and check their article list and try to find an information gap. Think of articles you can write that can address those information gaps. The information gap articles can have 0 or no search volume as per keyword tools, but don't worry.

Then write the same articles as that competitor but this time add the extra articles you brainstormed yourself.
Watch your site slowly replace that DA 15 in the next core update.

You don't have to wait for the next core update before you target the next tier competitor (DA 25 one in this case).

Do the same for all the competitor sites, plus get some editorial backlinks for your site and watch it soar in the SERPs.
