With a gmb listing how do you work out how many visits you need to improve rankings? Is a at % of the keyword search volume?

You don't want to exceed 10-15% usually. This is because you want to make growth look natural. You can try pushing the boundaries but it can either work out great or create more problems that are hard to reverse.

I can't comment yet on rankings but the cool thing about this tool is you can choose how many times per day, week or month you want visits to come in for a specific keyword. Compare that with your monthly GMB performance stats and you should be good.

I can agree with this, as I tested it for a couple weeks as well, only using the free credits. It was a test for a dog related site, the keyword was in the 60's and bumped into the 20's from just a few clicks. The keyword was semi-competitive (12k+ searches a month) I did nothing else, just CTR BOSS with a setting of 1-2 clicks per day for the keyword (United States). I'll be upgrading shortly to have a more thorough test as I'm out of credits, but it does have potential.

I've been testing out the software and speaking to OP at the same time.

It's a really nice user interface and I'm liking all the updates he's making.

I even had some suggestions and he's been quick to put those into their development.

You need around 4-6 weeks to see results from CTR so I can't comment on that yet.

I'm ranking really well. However, I also did some other things to the profile.

So what I can say is that it didn't negatively impact my rankings and it could be a good addition to what I'm doing.

Here is a GMB case study that I've been running for just 9 days. This is a really short timeframe, but I'll give more updates to it as time goes by.

Notes about it:

- This GMB has had rankings heavily declining (a business I've stopped updating or working on)
- I've added no new content, and no new links. I wanted to see what ONLY ctr to my GMB could accomplish and if it could reverse the downtrend of rankings.

Here is how I set it up:

My strategy for setting up keywords and searches is to appear natural.

I started with:

Business name - 1 time a day (increase popularity of business in Google's eyes)
Business name + city 15 times a month (show Google that the business is in demand for the city)
Business name + city + keywords: 15 times a month
Main keyword: 15 times a month
Main broader industry (seo company): 15 times a month

Something to remember is that we let you decide how many approximate searches will visit the website, and how many will do a directional search, so 15/month might only be 7 or 8 website visits and 7 or 8 directional requests.

Here's some results:

Main keyword: "Edmonton SEO" after about 1 week has gone from 20'th to 7'th position in the GMB.

Broad Keyword: "SEO Company" started at 63, moved to 58 after a couple of days, and as of the most recent search it seems to be doing a google dance of sorts. It hasn't done a scan since the 28'th so I am excited to see what the rank will be on a new scan. Hoping it has moved up! I'll update.

Here's a scan I've done to see how the business is ranking in the geogrid. This was done on the first day before starting.
Average rank was 15.29

And here is what the most recent scan a week later looks like.

Average ranking now: 12.86.

Again, this is really early. This is just a week. We are seeing the best results from campaigns that are running for 1 - 2 months.

I'm just posting because a lot of people are asking for case studies, so I'm sharing what I have now!
