Hey,

On Thursday (3 days ago) i 301 redirected an expired domain to a new domain.

This is my first time 301 redirecting an entire domain. I use site ground hosting, so redirected it with a 301 via the domain settings in there.

When i look in AHREFs today (3 days on) I’m not seeing the referring domains for the expired domain under the new domain where i redirected the expired domain too.

The 301 is working correctly, I am also seeing the expired domain as a referring domain in AHREFs, noted as a 301 redirect.

Does it just take some time for the referring domains to show up? Or have i missed a step.

It's pretty normal for AHREFs and other tools to take a bit of time to update their databases with the new link profiles after a 301 redirect. Give it a week or two. These tools don't crawl the web in real-time, so there's often a delay in reflecting these changes.

i was gonna say 2-4 weeks as its never instant.
