Audio Is The Key To Video Production

Apple has been showing commercials shot with their iPhones for awhile as an example of how far phones (and cameras) have come over the years, and it's true; You don't need a $50,000 camera anymore to have great-looking videos - especially with color correction, stableization software etc. available.

But one thing that will kill your video every time: Crappy audio. So when I produce something, audio is the first thing I think about (spoken word AND music). Even if the video isn't as fancy as it could be, great audio makes things at least passable. And the opposite is true: The best video can't save something with crappy audio

That's what I've been always saying as well, but sadly audio always takes the back seat and has done so even in the professional production world.
