Hi, today I received several alerts from GSC "Not found (404)" something like this:

MISITE.com/the-real-rose-of-jericho-birth-or-fertility/
Referring page svxnmjfga.gotujemysmacznie.pl/

So several URLs pointing to my site to URLs that I don't have and referrals from X site that I have never seen in my life.
What is this?
Should I ignore it?

Is this your.money site?

Should I do anything? Or do I ignore these errors?

Just ignore them

My sites are up to date and I was not hacked. When I checked those URLs they do not exist on my sites. So I will ignore them. Can it affect my SEO?

I get the same 404 because of these sites. When I go in search console > pages > and check the Impressions...I see a direct correlation between getting lower impressions and being attacked by these spam sites. Still not sure how to prevent it

I think it is impossible to avoid it.

At the moment I found only premium plugins that automatically redirect these links to homepage and this can prevent 404 errors
But I'm looking for a free solution

It is not a good signal, Are you using wordpress? And recently did you change anything at your website?

Added this code with my site url in it to my .htaccess and it's not doing the job unfortunately
Someone is sending fake requests to non-existing pages, real requests to not existing pages would redirect all to index / home page.
Maybe they are doing some kind of referral spam, in hope to get indexed by some old web analytics on the server and get some backlinks or views from site admin.

Either way...my impressions getting lower every time they do it

No, I don't think you can do any 301 (redirect), 404 (not found), 410 (page gone) , because those pages and visits are not real. They rotate referrers and header requests but visits are not actually coming to your site. They have a bit better script, probably with some python script and headless chrome since it can trigger javascript and get google analytics to record visits, but I doubt that plugins can work redirects and show server status codes if pages don't exist. For htaccess you already said it don't work, and that would be the most efficient way to do it, plugin is doing the same but through php headers.

It depends, if you are getting 404 on image file those are not attached with any content page, such 404 can be ignore. But, double check if you are getting 404 on content page(s) to ensure that you have that content and not mistakenly downed.
