Do blogs get a chance for commercial intent?

Every commercial intent keyword has online stores that bid on it, so even if a blog would rank for that keyword (would google even rank it?) the search engine user would click on the stores if his intent is commercial.

I am looking for ways to write for this intent and a) not get ignored by the search engine, and b) give the user something useful if he clicks on the article.

Any advice?

Not as easy as the good old days.
A better approach is to target queries related to product niche like questions potential buyers research before purchasing.
Frame articles around informational keywords related to the product, you can push banners or links to commercial content there.
Make use of visual content like videos and infographics.

Once you have built authority in the niche with informational content you can experiment with pure commercial content.
Also, you can directly target product/brand keywords once you have some authority as the turn out to be low competition often.

If you can also build your social media following and email lists from the informational content blogs, that will help in promoting offers.

Target seasonal niches and build your authority during the non-seasonal time and rank it so that it's difficult to outrank you in short time.
This way you can be on top of serps in the peak season.

These approaches work but results/conversions vary based on the niche.
So, as always your niche research and content structure is the key to success here.

Hope that helps you!

It's a waste of time and resource if your blog is not very strong and you want to go after such keywords. Though I've seen blogs with a store section that sells certain products and sometimes they rank, but bulk of the time the sales a made from queries that rank on the blog section.

If you want to do such, it's best to build your blog to become an authority or you just target informational queries related to the products then monetize with affiliate links.

When easy things are available, why you are choosing to do something different? I have one site which ranks for commercial intent, but its not a store. The thing is if you are going after tough thing, you need to research and test things yourself, nobody going to help. Hope you understand what i am trying to say here.
