i have tried writing content on this keyword, parasites got indexed but never ranked.
my parasite is Reddit, the traffic volume is very high, i guess ahref made a mistake calculating that,

I was speaking in general...

Those sites could have authority, they might be rich and established, I don't know what's going on there, but the algo definitely favors them because of something (usually authority or content)

It is possible to rank, but you are going to need to send some quality backlinks. I understand that reddit already has a strong backlink profile but sometimes single pages/parasites need a boost.

The likelihood of an orphan reddit page ranking for a keyword with such level of difficulty is low. Parasites, especially ones like reddit are good for easy or medium competition keywords.

I don't think KD matters when you have proper optimization and a backlink profile. Go for it make proper optimization and content authority and through some quality backlinks. BOOM!
