Hey everyone,

I'm diving into Google Ads and aiming for results that don't break the bank. Any pro tips on optimizing my ad campaign without overspending? Share your insights and experiences!

1. Download and use Google Ads Editor

2. Manually build your campaigns. Have control over what your ads are doing and you will have control over your spend.

We prefer to set 1 keyword per ad. I don't recall the name for this approach but it allows for a highly granular approach in terms of managing costs.

3. Setup location restrictions

4. Setup negative keywords!

5. And most importantly have your conversion goals setup and working 100%

Most of the ad accounts we run across are never set with conversion goals in mind. You need to justify your spending. If you can clearly see what ads, ad groups, keywords are burning budget based on conversion actions you can tear those down and likewise, if you can see the good performers you can re-allocate budget appropriately.
