hello. We are currently managing the landing page using AWS. In the future, we plan to produce an adult video site and build an advertising platform.

For AWS, I plan to use a different host due to DMCA issues.

If you manually download videos and upload them to their servers, you can expect AWS to charge you a hefty fee. However,

I have read many posts from people who run adult sites with a different profit structure than mine.

Instead of scraping videos from other sites, they have manually created 1000-2000 videos and the traffic and video views are high.

How can you reduce the high cost of people watching your videos? I plan to use a hosting provider that can bypass the DMCA, and I also plan to use a CDN.

If I use AWS, will I be charged download and upload fees when a video is uploaded to my server, and will I be charged a bandwidth connection fee each time a user watches a video?

If I use cdn here, won't AWS bandwidth be charged but will it be charged by cdn?

It really depends on what you deem expensive and what is cheap. If the project is profitable, you can afford to invest more into infrastructure. Some of the costs cannot be bypassed. Every hosting provider pays for their traffic to an upstream provider. To make things cheaper, you can negotiate a deal with your provider for cheaper internet if you commit to a certain capacity. If you get a big dedicated server with good traffic included, your project can work very well - more complex set ups can de done to accommodate various needs if you scale up.

No cloud provider charges you for ingress. Any traffic entering your aws server including you uploading videos is not charged.

They only charge you for egress i.e any traffic that goes out of your server to the internet. So people streaming your videos for example.

There's some free bandwidth (100gb iirc) per month with your server iirc. After that you have to pay a bandwidth fee per GB of extra bandwidth consumed charged at a rate depending on which part of the world your user is from (usually around $0.09/gb)

I understand that cloud providers like AWS charge for both data coming into their servers (incoming) and data leaving their servers (outgoing). In the case of bandwidth, if there is a set amount, isn't there a fee for exceeding it?

youll rent a hetzner server so u got 20-40TB - say about 200euro pm
youll then rent a dmca/offshore server to run the website say about 30 pm
youll run a reverse proxy to connect ur server to your website obfuscating the ip
thats what ull do and need minimum if u wanna run ur own

I plan to use DMCA/offshore servers. If the DB area is not here, it will be slow. Is it possible to overcome speed with CND?

yes u will use CDN to make things faster asia/hong kong have good servers too, but u have to use radarr, sonarr,etc to make ur database easier

Unfortunately, DMCA will catch you sooner or later. The more your site grows, more chance they get a hold of you. Talking from my personal experience..

It basically can work by embedding videos uploaded on a non dmca server in the Netherlands or Russia as long as they are legal 18+ videos, can be on a VPS in the range of $50 - $100 per month for start, and later upgrade to a dedicated server. AWS bandwith won't be charged cause it basically shows "a frame" that pulls data from the VPS/Dedicated

Nah those CJ tube sites actually embed directly from other tubes and hide their ads somehow with extra scripts. This is manual filtering and you upload the videos yourself on the VPS then it just streams from there, so it won't be taken down

Hetzener will be your website with lot of storage data and hide by a reverse proxy routing to a offshore server.

if you prefer to talk $ it will cost you around 250$ per month for a proper set up, if you have more traffic price will increase
