Google is a gambling

PageRank is no longer #1 factor.
And this is where the whole thing got awry.

Take a look at Google Scholar whose search is still powered by PageRank, and you will see how beautiful and simple it is.

Yeah, Google is a gamble, especially with the November 2023 and the March 2024 updates.

Google's stock is also a gamble because once the "one answer mode" becomes the default consumer standard, Google's ad revenues are going to crash really hard.

It's in Google's interest to show search results with a lot of links.

The longer that page, the more real estate there is for ads.

That's going to go away when consumers demand one answer, and they're going to vote with their feet.

The recent report by StatCounter shows a 4% massive drop off in Google search volume.

That shifted to Bing, which uses a one-answer system that is AI-assisted.

Whether you are a shareholder in Google or were you trying to get traffic from Google, it's all a gamble.

In terms of 5 years from now, I still see blogging being viable.

You could still get free traffic, and that free traffic can still make you passive income.

But it's only a matter of time that dries up.

So I would suggest that online publishers start looking for ways to take advantage of this shift in technology because AI is revolutionizing everything, and it's an exciting time.

Factors such as slow page loading times, intrusive ads, or poor mobile optimization can negatively impact user experience, which Google takes into account.

Recent updates have focused heavily on content. It was probably because they were mistaken.
