So, a friend just agreed to let me use his Semrush account for a couple of days and I'm looking at getting a good number of easy-to-rank, low competition keywords before my time is up.

I'm pretty sure I've seen some threads on here that show how to spy on competitors and copy their keywords here before. Surprisingly, I can't seem to find them right now when I need them the most. :)

Can anyone point me to any good step-by-step guide here that teaches newbies like myself how to get low competition, high volume keywords using Semrush? It would be much appreciated.

Much love.

Hi! There are plenty of useful Semrush tutorials in Youtube like:

The Site Audit is option is also very helpful. Just try to work with it a bit and you will get the grasp.

Good luck!

Thanks! I'll def check them out.

Keyword difficulty that these tools show is not accurate. You can sure get an idea of what keywords you want to go for but don't trust their difficulty score.

Please, still actively looking for directions here. Thanks/

Use the keyword magic tool to get keywords,
And domain overview to check some domain keywords,
You can filter by volume & KW difficulty from there to get more defined results,
There's no magic, it's that simple,

btw, you can use trial accounts or group buys to use semrush, that would only cost a couple of dollars a month
