How do you deal with doubt?

Since we are chilling in the lounge here. I want to hear something from you old friend...
Imagine you find inspiration... another great project, opportunity you want to pursue. You start working towards the goal, it takes time and you need to figure things out. In the meantime you see stories of people failing, not making money with similar projects. You really don't know what awaits you at the end.

"How do you fight all the doubts you have and motivate yourself to invest that money, spend that valuable currency called time and keep pushing until project is complete?"

There is always a chance of failure. There is nothing given to you for 100%. You don't know if you will make money. So how do you push it till the end? Even if you know there is a sea of effort to be done before you can be successful and even that is not given.

"And what is the right time to also give up on something that doesn't work (anymore overall, or for you), and move to another project that may be the one for you?"

Let me know what you think fellow BlackHatters. Everyone struggles with mental. Some of us more, some less. It's just hard to keep discipline and work for days/months without knowing if you gain anything back in the end.

Acknowledge it, seek information, consult others, practice self-compassion, and take action. Embrace failure as a part of growth and set realistic goals. Stay mindful, visualize success, and remember doubt is normal!!

Well, the idea is simple. If you do nothing, you are bound to never succeed. If you do something that does not work, then you continue on to do something else that may work, and keep going down the roads until you stumble upon a path that works. So basically, by never giving up, you never truly fail. Yes, an individual project may fail, but in that case forget about it, and move on. Think of it like dating and relationships. Break ups happen, but you need to get over it and to find someone that's a better fit for you. Now, with all that said, you'll learn from it all, gain experience, and so on. I can't answer when it's good to give up on a project or idea, but I can tell you that many give up too early, and you have to stick with it and allow it time to mature. Keep learning, keep growing, and keep doing.

This is key. All bounds to belief. If related to SEO, I would think this way:
Do I have the idea how much top guys in this niche making?
Do I have the idea of keyword difficulty (and total time and efforts) to rank?
The first is exact answer, the 2nd is theoretical thing. What may lag you here is 2nd q. The idea that WE CAN rank for this niche is what leading us forward . The amount of successful SEO projects, which you successfully ranked, which you had before is the key foundation (you have past projects - belief is strong). That's why it is always difficult for people in the beginning to start seo - they have no successful experience.
Not saying that experience is guarantee, that you will rank, but it is a source of motivation and energy.
