A sudden increase in DR score - How is this possible?

I was reviewing a site in Ahrefs. I noticed that the DR score increased from 4 to 44 in one day. Is such a thing possible? What kind of trick is this?

Lot of things can cause it, but main reason could be its backlinks. Check its backlink profile, set filter to those days and find out.

Backlinks(redirects and regular links from strong sites) and sometimes re-evaluation of links could lead to sudden increase or decrease of DR

Hi,

This is an obvious DR package boost from sites like fiverr.
Probably an Indian guy have a lot of spam sites where he link like from all the pages the same day - then make Ahrefs crawl the pages, and then the DR spikes.

The thing with these crappy backlinks is that they usually dissapear after a while, which in this case causing the downslope.
But yeah, if you get a really nice index backlinks from authority site which has not that many external links on index, you can really fly DR wise.

I jumped from dr 32 to dr 47 with the help of 3 indexlinks on sites with DR 24.27 and 44. The thing is that on two of them my backlinks were the FIRST outgoing link, so 100% of the linkcjuice from that index were send further to my page.
