Good morning,
My largest website (with over one and a half million users per month in Spain and Latin America), focusing on child-rearing, educational resources, family leisure, etc., has been abruptly terminated by Booking a couple of weeks ago.
The reason:
What is your interpretation? I have tried to get more details or to be allowed to fix it, but they always paste the email containing that paragraph and close the case. We have been working with Booking for years without any issues, and during the high season, it was our main source of income. It makes no sense for us to do anything strange. I am completely sure that we have not done anything irregular intentionally. The website has been around for 9 years and has thousands of articles on various topics, written by professional writers in the education sector.
At first, I thought it could be because a few weeks ago I added a new small website about hotels to my affiliate account, which monetized and continues to do so (with the Booking account of the previous owner), but the message doesn't seem to say that, and that website has no issues either.
And the worst part of all this is that they tell me that pending payments will not be processed. In other words, they want to withhold my commissions (which they will keep) for the best months of the year; August, September, October, etc. It's my money. It makes no sense to withhold payment for work already done, but I suppose they will pull out some clause from the contract.
Has anyone encountered a similar situation?
I have already consulted lawyers to, at the very least, claim my money.
I greatly appreciate any help.
P.S.: I don't know since when, but Booking no longer allows new registrations in the affiliate program. Another person and I have tried it with various emails and websites.
Best regards

The reason:
"We have discovered that you have deployed an ad to generate traffic (and bookings) to your affiliate or strategic partnership page with us, which is identical to our own Booking.com website. The landing page of your ad does not offer any additional content or benefit to the consumer. This is a breach of your obligations under your Affiliate or Partnership Agreement with us."
