I've been getting the annoying message that I have to disable my adblocker or pay for youtube premium.

When the day comes that Youtube gets good enough that they can stop adblockers.... I'll just stop watching youtube.

Honestly, there's nothing on youtube that I can't live without or work around.
 
Advertise on BHW
Get use to to it. You would master the art of ignoring the first 10sec before your video is played.
 
I have YouTube Premium. I understand completely their action.

But many YT content creators add "influencer marketing" advertising a.k.a. "brand sponsorship" advertising as part of their content. (So a company will pay a content creator to promote a brand or product within his/her video.) Your Premium subscription will not save you from that. I think that it's obnoxious because they already receive money from the ads placed by YT.
 
It is what it is. Either you help pay for the service by ads showing on the videos or you buy premium.

I think it's fair they are trying to stop ad blockers. If you don't want ads then pay for it.
 
Have to laugh at the hypocrisy, half the people on BHW trying to figure out how to make money with ads etc…then crying about having to watch ads themselves. I have a premium YT account. Not everything in life you can get for free, sorry to tell you.

yes its fair in theory, but still fuck them ads, never going to turn off adblocker
they cant do much, the better they get at detecting the adblockers, the better adblockers become as well

that game will never end, and thank god for that
 
What you are forgetting that fresh content can’t exist without some form of revenue being generated to keep it flowing. How you you suppose people run platforms, if they have zero income to pay for it?

It’s like shoplifting from your local store, sooner or later, if everyone is doing it, the shop keeper has no revenue and the business and can’t keep going.

In fact it’s the only reason you have the ability to post herein BHW, because advertising keeps the forum existing
