Impossible long-tail keywords in Google Trends

There is something I can't figure out. People manage to get long-tail keywords trending in Google Trends. Which means, according to me, many people use that exact key phrase many times. But I can't imagine people searching with that exact key phrase that often to make it trending.

This is the key phrase: cara membuat jamur crispy dengan tepung sajiku

How can they get a key phrase this long trending in Google Trends? Is there a script that does Google searches?

I guess trending long-tail keywords can result from organic interest spikes, targeted marketing campaigns, or, less ethically, manipulation via scripts or bots.

I think the latter. Every week they have different trends. I also saw that if I search for that exact key phrase in Google, there are many pages that are already redirected or not exist anymore. It looks like they make use of link farms as well. So I assume they use some script to trend in Google. It would be great to know what.

On the other hand, I just read that Google Trends data reflects searches people make on Google every day. But it can also reflect irregular search activity, such as automated searches or queries that may be associated with attempts to spam the search results. While they have mechanisms in place to detect and filter irregular activity, these searches may be retained in Google Trends as a security measure: filtering them from Google Trends would help those issuing such queries to understand we’ve identified them.

Probably, eventually, they'll pay a price for that…
