I'd be grateful to people explaining if/how a WH channel with no backup channel can safely apply the playlist method, i.e mixing one's own video in a list of x viral "foreign" videos.

1. If created within this one and only WH channel, is such a playlist in compliance with YT's TOS since the title and keywords of the playlist will solely rely upon the "big" videos and absolutely not on that video the channel wants indirecty to boost.

2. If so, how many such playlists may be created by this channel to promote ONE given video (that would then be in multiple playlists) ? (again within YT's TOS)

3. If so, can ALL newly published videos by the channel be promoted this way, i.e hidden into multiple playlists ? (within YT's TOS)

Thank you.

I am testing with 4 playlist, google ads are going on right away , may be tomorrow i will get more update on this, but in my research i found this method is still working as i have come across lot of channel which are showing recently uploaded videos which are mixed with viral videos in play list, the only thing we need to test traffic source these guys are using currently i am testing with taboola, mgid and google ads, after that i will move to fb as well.

let see how it goes.

Playlist method still works?
seems its still working with little twist, i have seen few channel still getting traffic, i dont want to post channel url here as it will spoil all research i did and whatever we post publically sooner or later if its dark method it get either patched or deleted.
hope you got my point,
but for you, i can say, i have seen some of channels still using it, and i am referring my research which i did in last 2-3 days and few of my own campaigns are up for testing using same method.

Thank you for the replies. Following.

Hence the other part of the question I was asking: Is it in compliance with YT's ToS? Because I can't really see why not. You take successful videos in your niche, insert one or a few of your own (not successful) videos and name the playlist in a general way, i.e avoiding such words as "hit" "best" etc. Why would it be outlawed ?

Google ads: of your videos or of the playlists ?
