Trying to make some $ with affiliate / display ads / local SEO

Found the blog from bluehatseo today and read the Empire Part 1.

Was really fascinated by it and want to follow the laws that he laid out. I currently don't follow any of these rules.

1. Learn a Server-side Language
2. Every Site Must Pay It's Own Rent
3. Get A Server
4. Make a friend
5. If You Wait For Results There Won't Be Any

Because of number 4 I'm here.

My goal is simple, make some money, enough that I can support myself and have a few project, which would be 1500$/m.

My Plan is simple
- Bring back my old site that already earned me some bit of money and try to get it to a few 100$ a month
- Use my national local site that I started last year but abondend to find easy location to build more targeted site
- Get my local site ranking and maybe I can rent them
- Find another projects that I can start and try out new things.

Created around 1500 pages location pages for my national local site.

I hired a programmer which build everything for me last year. Sadly I decided to limit the upload to 50 pages at one time so, I spend some time creating all these pages.

Most likely only 25% will get indexed, but with that I should be able to find a few locations that I can easily target.

Read a few AI related journeys (https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/journey-my-ai-blog-another-3-000-per-month-1-website.1521913/ & https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/m...0-usd-a-month-with-500-000-pageviews.1487006/) and now will to do the same.

I don't think I can hit as high revenue numbers as they, but I will see where I can get with it.

Forgot to add that I build a few local citations to one of my local sites, to hopefully get it from page 5 to page 1.
Only issue is that they all call you to verify the listing, and I currently can not call them back. I contacted my VOIP provider and hope fix that issue the next few days.



Day 4

Affiliate Site
Uploaded 19 new articles
Most of them are shit and I just want to see if they stick and how well they rank. The majority pages get indexed after I request the indexing the next day via the the GSC.
I created a page on another website with links to some of the new article to see if that helps to index them in 24hr.

I have categorie and product pages with affiliate links, that are not currently not indexed. I added all links to all categories into a page and requested the indexing for it.

I improves one page with a page optimiser pro, only by a few point.

Local Site
Remember when I added 1500 pages to one of the lead gen sites?

I know have the date from GSC, and only 6% of all the pages are "detected".
Most likely it's better to dripped the next time.

Unrelated but maybe interesting to some of you
Having a real office in local SEO can be beneficial.

I check one of my GMB's and the majority of people checked how to get there. Sadly there is no real office it's just a fake address.
Checked another GMB and there it's 40%/40, checking the route and open the website.

I also had a look at other GMB's which I created and it seems like they are stupidly easy to rank.

Just exact match or phrase match name, pictures and description that's it.

Build a new GMB for a future project, let's see if I can rank with it.

No offend, but you can use google to look for affiliate platforms that allow paid ads.

I also don't use any paid ads, so I can not give you any suggestions.

Uploaded +300 products
I need to clean up the mess that I made and other useless products that are floating around.

Only one post was indexed yesterday, most likely because I requested a crawl for it.
The test with indexing a page by adding it to another website failed, not sure why.
But so far, requesting the indexing inside the GSC is the best way to do it. (When someone knows a tool how to do that automaticaly hmu)

I added the categories to the menu, which should help the indexing.

I'm also signed up for Google AdSense, I don't think I will get approved but let's see.

Local Site
Still no answer from their support.

Database Site
I found a database with over 100.000 rows of data that I can use to create a new website. Got the aged domain and already bought the hosting.

I have no high expectations, even when it does not work well, I can use the site for link building.

Will try to build the site over the next two weeks, while publishing new content on the affiliate site.
