Are so many men in dating apps really that desperate?

I'm not the most sexually active guy around, but I'm literally shocked about the fact how many men are desperate.

I created a Badoo profile pretending to be a female since I'm experimenting with this thing, and in just 35-45' since my registration I collected 10 votes.

10 votes by posting three pics of my supposed to be face, claiming I'm a "chubby girl" and being only 5'4". Not the most attractive female around, right?

So my question is, are really so many men that desperate that swipe right to any female presence?

And checking their photos, they're not old or super ugly. They're just average looking guys.

not desperate, maybe they find easy to have delicious moments with certain types of womens and they do not have to invest too much time, money and effort to get attention, they could be rejected several types by preatty womens, since womens standars are sometimes crazy, they could be desperate or have certain fasination for an specific body type, size, color, list is long or maybe those are also fake profiles too.
