I'm seeing many male-only niches with accounts with 10m+ monthly views. You're just spreading misinformation.
That's basically it. You make pins, add your links, and do that repeatedly until you have thousands of pins. It's a numbers game. You need loads of pins because the majority won't get any impressions at all.
Just study the competition. What design formats work for the top accounts in the niche, how frequently are they pinning, what/how many boards do they have, what keywords/topics are they going after, are they targeting long tail keywords, and if they aren't, is there a market gap which you can exploit, etc.
There are a lot of guides on YT on how to get started, too.
I know that Pinterest rewards people who actively engage in the platform but do not SPAM low-quality stuff. I would recommend getting Canva Pro if you are serious and want to make high-quality pins.
