Growing A Meme Page

I bought a meme page account not too long ago with the hope that I would be able to grow it and eventually monetise it. However, I'm having a tonne of trouble driving engagement to the account.
I currently post reels there 3 times a day. The reels are reposted popular reels in my niche (generally tend to be reels with over 10k likes).
I'm noticing my reels seem to get barely any views and engagement is horrible. Though interestingly, once in a while, one post might blow up slightly but nothing too major.
Would anyone have any suggestions on driving engagement & views? I'm not quite sure what i'm doing wrong here
Would anyone also have any tips on getting followers outside of india? Seems like 80% of the new followers we get are Indian who are far from being my target market.

What do you suggest when you say "hq post"?
Why doesn't reposting do well?

3 reels a day is too much, first start with 1-2 a day then scale up. Try to find meme accounts who have Tier 1 audience and repost their viral reels.

What was the engagement like at the time you bought the account?

It could be that the account is just full of dead followers and/or botted accounts. So it's probably going to be an uphill battle to get that momentum going. Reposted content can work it you're clever about it but if 100s of other accounts have already posted it chances are you aren't going to see much success. Id do something to change it up slightly. Reaction content works well.

I'd probably stick to 1 reel a day until your engagement picks up as well.

Edit - One thing to keep in mind though is that meme pages are difficult to monetise though outside of shoutouts.

What do you imply when you use the phrase "hq post"?
Why is reposting unsuccessful?

A HQ post would be original content I. E. Something you've made yourself rather than a repost.

Reposting is unsuccessful because the algorithm can identify a repost and won't push it as much as original content. You also have to consider that there will be 100s if not 1000s of other pages who have reposted the exact same post and even if the algorithm pushes your post it may not see much interaction as your target audience have already seen it.

Reposting will rarely ever see the same results as fresh and original content.

The unfortunate reality is that the days of low effort reposts and compilations etc.. Are just over and they aren't coming back (this doesn't just apply to IG either it's all social platforms). The algorithms are just too smart these days. Back in 2015 it was piss easy to bot accounts with reposts and grow them to 100k in like 2 months and sell them for crazy profit - I made 300k in 2016 botting 100s accounts at the same time (and that was a side hustle!) But those days are in the past and it's just not worth the time now imo!

I see that you are promoting your 4g services or are affiliated with them, but everywhere you post you don't really seem to have very good info on that topic or only reply basic stuff from an article from Google. What was the engagement of the account before you got it? If it was more then you are doing something wrong.

Also, try to post reels that have the highest likes on niche accounts.

Also, it's difficult to have location-specific followers as you cant specifically rank it on explore for specific locations.

Try to engage with your niche accounts that have tier 1 followers and then your posts might go to them.

Seems it took a while for the algorithm to start picking up my reels but now it looks like we're getting a few reels going viral. I think I need to continue optimising the content & hashtags on my end to keep it growing.

How do people think they just start posting and boom, page start getting huge followings and engagements. If it's that easy, everybody would have all the accounts scattered all over Instagram.

You need time, energy and money.
You need to promote the page using either sponsoring a post or collaborating with other established accounts or shoutouts, either way, you need money.

What I will only tells you is that, try and get your business up, insert the link in your bio and start doing paid shoutouts, so that as people visit your account, they may start buying what you sell and thereby you can get money to finance future promotions untill you amass good number of following and also be an authority.

Reposted content it's tricky, you need to add something on top. Maybe edit the reels with trending audio, cause seems this is what tickle the algo these days

Great actually. I went from getting < 100 followers a day to well over 200 a day. Nearly every one of my reels has gone semi-viral.

as mentioned by someone .. check if the likes and followers are real or just bottled ones, if they are real check previous posts which have worked well for this page and try to post content accordingly.
