Hi, I’ve been wanting to start a webcam studio in Colombia for quite a while now.
Ive got $20k-$30k to invest in this, but the ONLY thing holding me back is that I do not speak Spanish and don’t know anyone locally. I plan on going to Colombia at the end of October. It might be worth noting that I have a business partner stateside that speaks Spanish, but I think its important to know a local lol.
Any advice on how I can get started would be greatly appreciated! Maybe how I can find a business partner / admin who is a Bogota local? I was looking into classified ad sites like craigslist in Colombia, but wasn't sure how useful that’d be.
Also, any insight on if this is still profitable would be good too! Thanks :)

I think this is high risk stuff that you've just said that you're planning on doing, to be honest I'd rather invest that in something online instead than go to foreign country where you don't speak language, don't know anyone and even if you do manage to find models etc you'd need to get traffic and then sales which is equally hard.

I agree that going to a country without even knowing the language is an almost insurmountable problem, not to mention the fact that Colombia is probably also a very dangerous country (if there are any Colombians I'm sorry, but seeing it from It seems like that on the outside), but as far as traffic is concerned, aren't sites like Chaturbate or Cam4 enough? In theory, quality content always has thousands of views.

Not sure, never went to those sites, also colombia isn't as dangerous as you think, mexico is though

Money speaks, but you will likely be scammed. When you'll go in avenida 85 at night, after club closes, you'll find people who bring you to "happy" houses. You can go there, partner with one of those people to make the girls work as they have the network. This is how it works there, you let the local who already manage those girls to propose side hustle to their worker. And they will accept for around 400 USD a month and a percentage for incentive.

I wouldn't advise doing an investment that big if you're not an asshole yourself, you will need someone like that in your team. (Sad but true)

I wouldn't give you all that info if I wasn't there seeing how "cam" work could really help those girls from what's happening in those countries where they're exploited by someone else.

Any business is quite risky. I can help you, but... why do you want to start in this industry? Why in Bogota? What do you hope to achieve from all this?. If you're going to have a partner, you need to make things clear.

so let me get this straight, u have $20k-$30k and you want to go to Colombia and get some girls to work for you, boy you don't know what you are getting yourself into
you don't know the language, have no clue about the business, and probably never dealt with organized crime... the best thing that could happen to you is to get scammed

Hello, I'm American and live in Colombia. I have been considering opening a studio myself. I have a few girls that will work for me. I don't Spanish. I'm ready to build the business.
We should talk if you are still interested.

Make sure you know Spanish or hire a reliable woman to be the "madam" because you can be ripped off or jacked. I stayed in Medellin once at an airbnb and in front, they had a web cam studio. the bfs would drop off the girls on their motorcycles and pick them up. The owner hardly ever left because he was fearful. But i imagine the money was good. Maybe u can start small and see how it goes? Just one room you rent out to different girls?
