What Does It Mean (Buying monetised channel)

when the channel is monetised but does not have the video that supposedly got the watch time hours ?!

I come across many such channels that are being sold, But they all don't have the video that got it monetised in the first place, apparently it is deleted or something, but I wonder why ? and do I have to worry about it when buying ?

Because they sold the channel like "new" and erase all videos , they upload a viral videos to get the the monetize after that just delete all info

why delete the video that got the channel monetisation ? clearly it is not something against youtube terms since it got them to monetise the channel, so why not keep that as proof of quality for the buyer ?

edit: And if the channel is gonna make movements of AdSense and ownership, won't YouTube recheck the channel and refuse for monetisation since it has far lower public watch hours than the monetisation criteria ?

Is really weird why they do that but once the channel is monetized there is no problem and you can continue uploading content, if after 6 months you don't upload anything you need to apply again to monetization, could be they delete the video to avoid to provide the method they use to monetize those channels and always get approved, no trace, no evidence.

They don't want to know how they created that channel. And what is the content that YouTube accepts for a channel to join the partner program.

Indeed it is very risky, I normally pass such channels and never buy from those that hide the video/s that got them the monetization criteria.

The risky part is not what they uploaded, since I couldn't care less what they uploaded as long as YouTube accepted to monetise, but the risky part is the fact that the channel no longer (IS) in the criteria of monetization since the watch time hours is no longer there and all there is left is skeleton of 5 random videos with very few views and no watch time hours

It is weird. I don't think they are keeping a method away from the public eye since that could easily be found but I think they know the views are going to drop significantly so they either removed the video or may be the video could still be there and just the views and watch time dropped to oblivion .

I mean all the other videos left on the channel (Usually 5) are already a hint of what YouTube accepted them for monetization, I believe it is more than that and it is very risky purchase.

These boosted channels with this shady kind of business is like gambling, but I know and see that there is demand for them, so I was wondering if it is total scam or how it works with the AdSense and ownership change

the problem with these channels are, the 4000 hours that were previously present, is now subtracted from the channel's public watch hours. And it is possible (atleast in my experience), that the channel will get demonetized shortly after, by the YouTube Bot.

The question is that, for example, I have a viral video, let's say something like a silly dance with a viral song. I upload it to my channel and manage to get 1k subs and 4k hours. Now, can I sell my channel? I sell it to a person who wants to start a finance channel, so the viral video won't be useful in their niche; therefore, it has to be deleted or at least set to private.

Don't buy such channels. Many of them are not usually organic channels. They could get terminated in a short time.

For instance, harmful content or reused content. They say "a significant portion of your content is not in line with YPP", so that means they allow a certain % to not be in line and still be monetized. The question is, how much?

Could you override this by uploading new content that is inline with YPP and get approved for monetization without needing to delete your previous videos which destroys the channel's metrics?

I guess they do so for the buyer to have a fresh page, but that isn't a problem if the channel has a clean record.
