What good SMMA niches have proven to be great for cold calling?

I plan to set up a boiler room and hire a bunch of outbound cold callers on commission

I know some niches are better than others for cold calling.

Dentist?
Realtors?
Mortgage Brokers?
Plumbers?
Roofers?

What matters is not the niche but the value the offer gives the customer. Some offers are much better than others and therefore have a high conversion rate.

You will find unicorn companies in every niche you have listed with high turnover and conversion rates

I was thinking more about getting around the gatekeepers where I assume cold calling would be much more difficult, especially for dental clinics.

Well, you need to get your leads properly. Don't just start dialling 2000 random people asking if they have dental problems. Get WARM LEADS

This. Try running surveys to get prospects for example or find provider who can do that for you. For some niches sweepstakes can be good to get interested customers (home insurance, home improvement, etc.)

Dentist market should have the most money and that's what I'd concentrate my efforts on.
