Hi! So yesterday I found a bunch of suspicious files on my PC and I removed them, but the problem is that the virus has admin privileges. So when I enter in windows security, some of the options are disabled "by administrator". I have no idea how to remove this. Will resetting windows help???

edit: Also, any way to remove admin privileges?

Format PC and install windows again, also dont save old files for new windows.

Yes as mentioned before reinstall your PC, its hard to locate the exact path and believe it or not Antivirus systems cant detect every virus, they only need to update it (you never know) and its undetected again.. If you need old files copy them but I would only Run them later in a virtual machine to stay Safe.

Format, Fresh Install from Microsoft Website and don't use cracks

Apart from virus, this message may show up when you edit registry entries manually. Take a look at the registry for these values and try changing them to default.

Formatting may be the clear solution, but it is not the only way. By formatting you will only be guaranteed.

Another capitalist american spotted you want us to buy the original version of software and contribute directly to american economy

give the pc some rest and use some wet clothes to wipe the motherboard it will get better ,something we do when we get virus infection putting wet clothes on forehead

If you have an SSD, do an ATA Secure Erase. If you have a mechanical drive, use a software like DBAN to erase the drive securely.
Reinstall Windows, download a good AV (like F-Secure, Kaspersky or Malwarebytes). Have a common sense when opening/running any files.

Then pray that the virus hasn't infiltrated your motherboard or GPU.
