Brief introduction: 15 years ago, I had an online store with dropshipping; although I sold several products, 99% of the sales were specific radios for cars of Singapore origin. This went well for a year until I had legal problems with customs and was abandoned.
Recently, I wanted to dabble again and acquired AliDrop, and although I expected not to sell, it was to make a decent web development and visualize possibilities. It went well from the optimization, and I abandoned the idea because the shipments had time problems, etc..
Today, I am handling the possibility of doing this in my city with local stores with reasonably priced products and selling with a good marketing campaign (influencer, Facebook, etc.).
I doubt whether I focus on a single niche or load the web with good products (price and quality) from different places. The first option would be more straightforward, but I suppose it would cost less income; option two may be in the long term and would create a brand.
I listen to your opinions.

In general, very interesting what platform you use for listings from many sources? or you do list manual? I know one guy from Israel who doing Ali -->eBay. But I did not tried yet.

I think I'm being a bit conservative and your first option seems more consistent. The risk, of course, is beyond consistency, but you never know what it will bring. My answer is C

My first experience was in Prestashop, then WP with the AlidropShip add-on and WooComerce.

I think the issue with using your local supplier is that are you going to have sufficient profit margins? I haven't done dropshipping for a while and looking to get back into things soon (like a side hustle) but i think your pricing point needs to be somewhere about double to triple your cost price of the product to account for marketing and shipping. So if the prices you get are fair and you can double it then i would try but what do the radios in cars have that a smart phone cant do?

I am looking to build a single store site (with like 5 products max with different variations) rather than having 50+ products but that is just me.

The margins will not be that big, I believe they will not exceed 50% depending on the item, many of the products already include shipping.
In the beginning I am aware that profits will be minimal until I can articulate and generate more audience.
The radios were around the years 2008/2009.
Good luck with your project
